Apparatus for timing break speed

There is an apparatus out there used at some trade shows and events that is placed on the table and electronically times your break. It has a thing that goes on the break end of the table with a ball that you hit. When the cueball goes under/through the beam it clocks your break. Anyone ever seen or is familiar with this? Thanks.............

This thing is like one thing I saw awhile back that helped you practice breaking without the racking. It's used at events where people come up and pay to break the it's a contest with the winner getting a prize. There was one in Vegas last week and I am trying to find one to use at our local APA city event in June. Thanks............

Thanks for your help. I actually didn't see it but our APA league operator did but she couldn't remember the name of it. She said they had a display up and when the cue ball went under "something" it recorded the speed. I will send her a picture of what you sent and see if that's it. Yes, we could set an Ipad with the Break Speed app up beside the table and that would work pretty well. Thanks again for your help!!

First poster is talking about something you put on the
table that measures break speed.

Next guy comes in with an app. that measures break
speed, nothing to do with what first poster is asking about,
well except for the speed part. (I'll give him that)

Then later somebody chimes in with something they
don't know the name of but has nothing to do with
break speed at all. (the break rack)

I'm not trying to say anything bad about anyone it's just sometimes I think that I'm going nuts when I read something or ask something and people answer something else, like a different question was written or asked. I don't know I talk to my sister sometimes and when we're done talking and I'm driving away I feel like she didn't hear a word I've said.
Then I'll come on here and read a thread like this and just say, WHAT ?
Thanks for listening, I think you are aren't you?

I assume it was jerrod from ft dodge Iowa with the booth. PM me your number and I will get it to him to call you.

I would imagine the app for android or Iphone(POS) would work even better and a fraction of the price.

Sometimes it's hard to find out what people are looking for given their descriptions. We just try to help. We know what the break-rack is.

the app is cool -but its best if everyone breaks from the same spot to get accurate results... most people don't like that...

a NEW way to go

We have a new unit for those that want to clock their Break Speed. It is brand new as of 5-11-12, it is part of a family of Sports Radar products.

It is called the Break Speed Radar.... I sell it with BreakRAKs, but we're going to make it available for practice with a real rack of balls (see prototype pic)

It does express in tenth's of a mile per hour. Works very easy, gives up the next reading quickly & shuts off after 5 minutes of non-use. I will be displaying a non BreakRAK unit soon, it will be stained & clear coated.
