Hello azers,

Keep this one in your file as a BAD BUYER ALERT. The person represents himself as: David Rubrich. I believe the real David Rubrich
is being used in an identity theft scam by a guy in japan;

Your original request is below:

Hello Paypal,

A man telling me his name was David Rubrich was trying to buy 2
pool
cues from me. This person stated that he was in Japan, and I smelled a
fraud sitiuation, so I told him the only way I would ship the cues is
after
the funds cleared my bank.

I have not shipped the cues.

What upsets me the most in this instance, is the fact that I called

Paypal to learn of the origination of the funds, and to obtain a phone
number so I could verify with the buyer that he was in fact the buyer.
The
paypal representative told me he could not give me this information, yet
he
then told me that once the funds hit my paypal account, THEY COULD NOT
BE
REVERSED - obviously he has no clue what he is doing, as the funds were
in
fact reversed. HAD I LISTENED TO THIS DUMB ASS YOU EMPLOY, I WOULD BE
OUT
OF 1600.00 USD WORTH OF POOL CUES AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

This is where the cue was requested to be shipped:

Reza May
San biki No Kobura 177-4 Ibarra Cho
City Ibara Shi
province Okayama Ken
zip code 715-0019
JAPAN

I was also given this telephone number: 81-9013761853

I will also forward to you various emails received by me from this
person. i just noticed one now where this person has the audacity to be

requesting a tracking number. Amazing.

I was sent 1575.00 for 2 cues I had listed a few days ago on this site, as well as having them listed on ebay. The "buyer" used a credit card paypal payment. Then the buyer started demanding immediate shipment EVEN THOUGH HE WAS TOLD UP-FRONT THAT NOTHING WOULD BE SHIPPED UNTIL THE FUNDS CLEARED MY BANK FROM PAYPAL.

The funds as most of you know take 3-4 business days to post in your bank account once transferring them from paypal. Within 24 hours, paypal sent me a message stating that they reversed the transfer and were initiating an investigation. They asked for my assistance which I readily gave.

What irritates me most, and is the true ALERT for my fellow azers', is that I contacted Paypal to obtain a telephone number to the buyer to verify that the buyer was legitimate, yet PAYPAL's representative told me it was against their PRIVACY POLICY to provide me with that number:confused:

what kind of horse$hit is this???????? Here I am trying to protect the buyer and Paypal tells me I can't do it. To add insult to injury, this moron at Paypal tells me that once the funds hit my paypal account THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN BE REVERSED, so it would be safe to ship the cues. THIS JACKA$$ should be fired.

Fortunately I still have enough gray matter inside my skull to smell a skunk when one sprays, and this skunk sprayed hard. I still have the cues, and the bottom line is DO NOT EVER SHIP ANYTHING TO ANYONE UNTIL THE FUNDS CLEAR YOUR BANK.

Do I hear an AMEN ?

Well I can tell ya now that 81-9013761853 is a cell phone number here in Japan. 81-country code....90(or 090) identifies it as a cell number. I will call it later this afternoon and see if anyone answers it. I will let you know!!

I called that number previously and received a message in Japanese of which I do not speak. I am not out any funds, and I do have my friends cues that I am selling in my possession. I will re-list them later. When this person emailed me asking for a tracking number, I replied with an email telling him that Interpol is most likely tracking his number.

This forum has been very educational for me since I joined it, and the least I can do is offer experience to protect the good people on here.

Thanks again Chris,
Danny

Just a tip when using Paypal.

Once the funds hit your account, transfer them to your real bank account immediately.

The reasoning here, if the other person tries to reverse it or lodges a complaint....paypal will freeze the account with your funds held indefinately.

Paypal IS NOT a bank, so don't allow them to hold your funds.

Transfer them to and from your account when needed.
