How does the fibre pad affect the hit of a cue?
more solid hit? softer hit? no affect at all?
(Atlas fibre pads - .31 thick - 14 mm)

Most use the fibre pad with ivory ferrules.
I have been using the pad on ALL of the tips I install.
I think It does not affect the hit at all, just an added
protection to somewhat keep the ferrule from cracking?

any input?

The fiber pad is harder than most tips and softer than most ferrules and will compress like a tip. With that being said I don't know if anyone would be able to feel if there is any noticable change. The change if any is so miniscule but then again everything is subjective. However the fiber pad is to protect the ferrule for those of us who like a short hard tip.
