Finally, something other than a glove...

I sweat a lot because of my back injury and the pills I take. This always meant I had to either use a glove or wipe my hands a LOT. I didn't like wearing the glove because it just didn't feel right.

I ordered a pair of these;

They took about 2 games to get used to because they are a little thicker material than those flimsy silk gloves. Once I got used to them though...I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it help as far as the shaft sliding through my fingers but, I tried a bar cue (just to run this product through the wringer)...It felt as though the bar cue had been waxed, polished, and burnished. Also, I have a very mild shake when I'm bent down for a shot because of a nerve issue in the spine. I wasn't having any problems when I was wearing these because it seemed to dampen the vibrations of my "tremors".

They are a little thicker than you might expect, and they take a few games to get used to, but I'm very pleased with the new addition to my cue case. I feel like I found my solution to the age old problem of "Glove/ no glove?".

these same people have a cue tip cover which works very nice keeping the chalk out of your case.I buy them and send them out with my wood cases i make. check them out!

MilwShooter,

I'd like to try that setup. I've tried a lot of pool products and this one looks right up my alley. Between my wearing a glove and my high-lensed billiard glasses, I catch more shit than a satellite dish.

LoL...Funny you should mention that. I've noticed in the past that there's a certain stigma that people seem to have about people wearing a glove. When I was wearing this yesterday, people seemed a little different as they'd walk by to go to their table. It also feels nice to have something a bit more "custom" made. Those gloves never really fit my hands well because I have such long fingers.

I use one of these now and they are great....... I only pull it out when it is HUMID and sticky.

I actually have 2 pairs. I keep one in 2 cases depending on what case I take out.

I just ordered two pairs in the hopes of them rectifying the massive humidity issues I have to deal with from playing in open-air environments on a steamy tropical island.:wink:

One thing I'll say is this...They may seem a little bit small when you get them, but after you put them on and get a good hour or 2 of use out of them, they fit a lot better.

Paul, I'm happy to hear that the slides are working for you! I keep a set in each of my cases also.

Nick, Your right on with the fit issue. They should fit snug as they will loosen up a bit with use. I know what you mean about the stares, when you wear a regular glove. I always hated that, too! Take Care.

deadwhak,

Except for the instructional classes from Randy G. and the MANY hours of practice I get in, these glasses have done more for my game than any other single element I've tried. I highly recommend them.
