Half Splice or Full Splice?

Half splice is cut at the handle and usually a different piece of wood is under the wrap.

Full splice the wood from the points go all the way down to the butt cap or butt sleeve.

A fullsplice is made like a house cue, and is actually spliced.

A half-spliced is not spliced at all, rather it is made by inserting
tapered and angled laminations into the front wood.

A half-splice is what you would have left if you were to saw
a house cue butt in half at the back end of the maple.

Of course they are not made that way.
