Hi all, this is to inform az members about the approach of a new member, MarkMcD101.

The guy opened a thread about selling several kamui products or trading them for custom cues.
We had a deal and he was supposed to send his products first before I send him a custom sneaky pete.
He promised to come back after the weekend with tracking number which he never did.
I sent couple of pms and although from his status it can be seen he was here he never replied.
I did not send any cue, just wanted to inform other members because he is supposed to be still selling products.

Please don't come on this with forum rules, there is nothing for sale here, certainly not the best interest of honest az members...

I was just informed that the guy had another deal...
Better late than never and certainly better before I had shipped any cue...
I just felt I had to inform other members about this as it's usually done in such cases.
Hope his deals come through, all he has to do then is to inform the forum so that no doubts are left.
 
We had agreed that you would not ship the cue until you received my products? I PM you to tell you I have made another deal, so what's the problem? Grow up....you have to much time on your hands to post this kind of nonsense! I'm sure my new deal will be smooth an successful

All he did was come on and tell people of his exact experience...and you tell him to Grow Up?

He is a respected member of the forum and he was just trying to share his experience.

If you plan on being around here for a while I would take a softer approach to potential customers.
 
Bit childish if you ask me! It's my 1st time on the forum....just starting to deal cues on here, I done nothing wrong and he bad mouths me? Il post a reply when my better deal goes through successfully....:)

Basically what he was saying is this:

You made a deal with him. Then you welched and said you made a different deal. I would be disappointed if you backed up on a deal I had made with you too. I don't blame him for posting this

Since my first pm this week after not receiving any tracking (as you said you would send) you have been in and out 3 times, even after my second pm...
Your responce came only after this thread...
It only takes about a minute to send a simple pm...
I sure hope your deal goes through, and be sure I don't need to grow up, you do...

There is nothing wrong about backing up on a deal early enough, how you handle it matters. I wrote him this in pm before he started calling on my character here...
Anyway I presented the order of the facts and I did what I felt is the right thing to do for the rest of the forum members, that's it.

Oh yes. And I have better idea. Let's post everything here - cue gallery, ask the cue maker etc. All in "FOR SALE ONLY" section.
Everything must be posted in appropriate forum.
To summarize - there was no harm done, nobody got hurt. You THOUGHT that he might be a scammer.
So is this worth wasting space here? Nothing sells anyway and here you are - pushing everything even further back just because you felt like sharing your experience.
Way to go.
And yes, I am aware that I just bumped it.

Is there a more appropiate place than this one for posting a warning? NO
Are we talking about something which has nothing to do with protecting other members? NO
Does this break forum rules typically? YES
Does this happen a few times here and there from other trusted members for the exact same reason? YES
It depends on how you see it, for me protecting members of this forum is the least I feel right to do.
Others may simply not care, or may think of my actions as bad for the forum...
"You can't win them all", that's all...

if your sole intent is coming to the site and use it to make cue sales. than id suggest to you not to welch on deals and consider donating money to the site and become a gold member :)...to each his own though...

One other thing had to do about presentation of those products for sale.
Some that are supposed to be sold as not as marked as such.
Some others were not described as they are.
Upon contact I received a response like "these other products belong to a friend who is also trading them for cues".
I'm not saying the guy is a scam, hope he's not. I just notified other members here about his funny approach, nothing to do with my deal not going through but the whole pattern.
Those who disagree with my actions what exactly are you saying? We should not inform other members about potential fraud in this forum?...

This post is a joke.
You are taking somewhat of a low blow and giving a backhanded compliment. Especially with your innocent, "I'm not saying the guy is a scam, hope he's not". No, you do not hope. You are politely busting on this guy.
My guess is - the deal was in your favor BIG TIME and the fact that he did not go for it pissed you off.
And that is exactly why you are still bumping this, trying to ruin guy's reputation.
If you ask me, this is sleazy tactics. And I really dislike people that try to pull low shit like this and trying to cover it with some BS such as "Oh, I am all about protecting members here" or "We should inform other members about potential fraud in this forum"

The did go for the deal. He said in his post that they agreed he wouldn't ship his cue until he got the chalk and stuff. Then the dude welched. I'm sure if we could see all the pms they sent it would seem fishy to us as well.

Guessing anything is not going to reveal any truth.
I have never given any right to be considered as a member who thinks low or only about his interest, and guessing about intentions or other people's character is most of the times simply wrong.
Deals for me are not in equal par with integrity and I never go into deals that are in my favor against other members...
There is no reputation here to be ruined, seems a bit funny why a respected member with good intentions is treated this way (by a few) while someone new with a funny approach (at least) is not to be touched...
A potential fraud is nothing more than potential but nothing less as well...
Another funny thing is that some people think that when they break forum rules by over-bumping it's ok but when others do it (for protecting other members) it's not...
Well, in the end my question is not answered. Should we inform other members about potential fraud? YES or NO?
I say YES and I explained my reasons. Others may say NO for their own reasons.
No need to argue on anything, one other funny thing though could be reporting me to moderators for what? Trying to warn the forum against a potential fraud? That would be a first but you never know... :)

Quit being a nit. I know many will appreciate this heads-up. Petros has been a longstanding member here who's word is solid and he appreciates this community. He's said his piece. Your baiting him has not let this die.
