There sure is a lot of unanswered questions after reading the flyer.

How much is the entry for the amateur 9ball, for example.

The Pro 10 ball, why do you lose if you concede the 9 ball?

What kind of equipment?

Who's running it?

Many more........

Thanks for posting this David!

I should have answers to many things this pm as I'm meeting with them today

I did a quick check and I'm curious as to exact dates, equipment, will there be some kind of price break on the hotels (the price at the listed hotel is $ 370 a night I believe. Nearby ran about $170 night and if you go about 20 mi they drop to about $100 I think. Anyway more info greatly needed. Thanks

Just called the reservation event people at Moody Gardens and they say rm rate is 149 + 15% tax = $171.35 night for king or 2 doubles dates set aside were 10-23 Sep. Hope this helps

It looks like a fine effort and wish the promotors all the best.

I do have some suggestions for the website though.

1) Tell who you are, nobody is going to click on a paypal link and send money from a website like that, not even knowing who you are.

2) Display what dates each event will be running, seperately.

3) What kind of equipment and how many.

4) Seeing you are advertising BCAPL tournaments, get Mark Griffin to endorse the event and see if a banner/advertisement can be put on his BCAPL site to the event.

5) If there is a limit on players for each event, display that with each event.

6) Prominently display that only the 1pocket and 10ball are gauranteed 1st place prizes. Thats as it reads now but I think it needs to be more prominent so there is no confusion. The other events need to be marked **Based on 128 entries** , or whatever wording needed.

7) If there is hotel room codes for discounts, I can't find them.

8) Airport information would be helpfull.

9) Any vendors? Will there be cue or tip repair onsite?

10) Any streaming?

11) Explain why no jump cues allowed, better off explaining this one or you will be answering that question a million times, even from people that are not coming.

12) What constitutes a player as Amateur, seeing there is a 9ball Amateur event. Who is Pro and who is Amateur.

13) Who will be the tournament officials? TD and head Referee.

14) Can entries be paid in checks or money orders? and not just paypal.

15) Is there a cutoff date or time for entries to be paid?

16) Can a player just join the BCAPL and pay the $25 BCAPL member fee (which is available) and not play in any BCAPL league format, but still go to this event?

Just a few things I was curious about.

Best of luck and hope its a huge success.

I'm sure that many of the details are still being worked out. This thread is not an official press release, just an information leak about the website.
