Gee, I wanna break my cueball now and see what kind of kinder surprise there is. Maybe some yummy charamel.

The trademark on that is green where mine is red. i have never seen a green one. could be a bootleg cueball !!!

Wow! Now break the 4 to see what is inside it.
What does the outside diameter measure? Was it on a coin operated table?

That is a Saluc cue ball made by Aramith for the Valley coin op. They will get out of round and break.

Not the first time I have heard this.

Yes, the green logo is the newer style valley coin op ball.
I actually perfer them to a cateye ball.
They roll truer and are closer to the weight of the object balls.
I did not believe it when someone told me theirs had a 15 ball underneath.
I guess he wasn't lying!
Where you using a phenolic tip?

I have never seen anything like this in my life...... and I have been to three state fairs and a rodeo.:scratchhead:

Wow thats crazy. If someone were to tell me that there was another ball inside the cueball I never would have believed them!

I'm personally against the using of 4 balls for the innerds of cue balls....

Now I've seen everything, except of course a man eating his own head, never seen that....

I have a Green Aramith Cue ball with a smaller size chunk out of it also. The color under the broken out chunk is One Ball Yellow. There is also a green layer that might be the magnetic layer. Seeing yours with what appears to be an 8 ball center makes me wonder???????

On second thought you might have a snooker 7 ball and I have a 2 ball. Maybe they are using 2 1/8 snooker balls and coating them with the magnetic material and finish polymer

Does the 4 ball move freely inside the shell? I don't see how its going to stay balance and roll straight.

the 4 ball didn't move ,it is solid .
it had a black layer then a white coating .

the black layer we believe to be metal so the mag to to grab on to for the coin ops

the white is is the cue ball coating .

as for is being a snooker ball . i dont think so the 4 was brown i thought .

I have a thought on this. It makes good sense from a production stand point if you think about it. What they are probably doing is taking an out of spec object ball and reducing it in size and using it as cores for the coin op cueballs rather than producing a new core from scratch which would just make them cost more, and reduces waste. I would guess that the culprit causing the cracking and chipping off is that magnetic flake layer, which is not whole resin like the rest of the ball, and therefore can't possibly bond the same way. Just my 2 cents.
