...and then managed to find their way home.

Paul Fanelli and Murray Tucker. Two cues commissioned by me in 2005 then sold a year later due to personal issues. Just got them both back. Took a few quick pics, so please excuse the poor quality (bad lighting at home and craptastic camera).

Big thanks to Will, Ho, and Joe Van for making this possible and for words of encouragement/guidance. I'm grateful for the opportunity to get these back and it wouldn't be a reality if not for all your generosity. Gentlemen I salute you.

The last pic, yours truly taking delivery from Fanelli back in 2005. A great cuemaker and true gentleman. I will never forget the visits to his home basement shop and the long conversations we had on just about everything. I hope I did right by Paul and brought the cue back to its original home.

Enjoy the pics folks and its nice to be back on AZ after a very long absence.

Excellent ending to your search.... great cues from great cuemakers

JV

Thanks for all the help Joe, you have my deepest gratitude. I had hoped to find my original commissioned Skip Weston but alas, it's being enjoyed somewhere in Asia. Luckily Skip was able to make me an exact duplicate and I could not be happier. The more things change...the more they stay the same.

The Fanelli cue is a real fine piece of world class workmanship! Superb veneers!

And it looks real comfortable, right at home.

Thanks for the pictures.

The real "Thanks!" goes to you Will for making this happen! As you can see, the color schemes on both cues go hand in hand. Nice to have them back together.

That was a cool project with Paul and I collaborating on the veneers. I'm trying to remember is Paul sent he his veneers or I sent him mine.

Hey Murray! Nice to see you on AZ! Hope all is well. If I remember correctly, the Fanelli was already in progress and I asked him to share the veneers with you so they could be cousin cues! Both turned out fantastic and it really broke my heart when I had to sell them. I'm just glad I was able to get them back and they will stay put this time!

Good for you Ricky. I remember seeing your cue in Paul's shop, lying next to that gigantic ashtray on his bench.

Who is this Ho guy?

It's only right that the original person who commissioned the cue should own the cue.

Karma would dictate that one goes around comes around and I'm sure MT will make me a simple 60" cue???? HINT, HINT!!!

Lucky you Ironchef! :D
I did a good search on that cue, even contacted you i believe, but came no further then Erik Lee cues, and got stuck there because he didn't recall to whom he sold it...
And as i am correct it was Will who had it all this time... Darn!

Congratulations Ironchef! I was similarly able to reacquire a much beloved cue so I know the feeling. Enjoy the cues and here's to hoping neither of us are put in that situation again!!

Schick titlist! Great Cues gentlemen! When you sell anything it is gone. All you can do is hope.
Congrats,
Nick :)
