As some of you may recall, just a few months ago I had my beautiful and treasured GC-1 "Cobrasized" by Real King Cobra. His 6-day restoration left me with, what I feel is, the best playing gold crown on the planet.

I went down to my rec room yesterday afternoon to hit some balls and to my utter horror, was met with what would feel like to some, a scene right out of "The Shining". :yikes: In fact, for me, a scene from The Shining would have been preferable.

An apparent drain backup at my kitchen sink resulted in water cascading down into the rec room ceiling and below, you can see the result.

The hazmat-clad Servpro team have begun the drying process and Roto-Rooter has repaired the drain blockage.

I have reached out to RKC for some advice on this.

I will keep you all posted on the progress.

It's not lost on me that there are much bigger problems in the world but G-d damnit and WTF!

I know you all understand.

best,
brian kc

That's a really bad roll :(

I hope it all dries out for you with minimal damage. Nice room BTW.

Crap Brian...I mean gosh! What a drag! Hope everything works out okay, and that none of your cues were damaged. It's that damn thing about you know what always running downhill! Seriously, I hope your table is fine. Gold Crowns have survived worse flooding before!

Six days, did you get the card punched, I think the seventh day is free!

Seriously, that sucks, hope you get it fixed up soon, no more brown cloth.

GC-1! Cool!

Terrible about the flooding but you needed some blue cloth anyway.

Are you running a cue case rental business?

that was from the pool gods to help you get rid of that brown cloth

bwaahahahahahahahahahahahaha

i mean...um...yeah that sucks big time. hurts my eyes just to look at it.

we should start an 'OMGWTF' fund to help victims of random plumbing disasters

My instructor's gold crown went through a fire and it looks pretty good nowadays. Just replace the cloth and you should be fine..

Nooooooo! I feel bad for ya chicken. I hate to see that happen. You got a great pool room and a kicka$$ table, it just aint fair.

I hope everything can get back to normal for you soon.

remove the cloth

run it through the washer and dryer, then spray paint it green, then.
notice the subtle hints about the colth color ????

kidding aside, i can understand about your table, a person tries to make everything perfect then unfortunate crap like this happens. bite the bullet, grin and face it, when you are done it will be even better than before.

chuck

BTW whats with the evil grin on that guys face, doesn't he know the magnitude of the tragedy that has taken place?!? :p

you guys are funny!

and a tough crowd!

interesting comments about the cloth color. I am actually considering changing to tourney blue which I've had on this table once before. The camel and tourney blue are the only 2 colors I'll use on my table - they both provide great ball visibility, imo.

okay, fuel up your flamethrowers: ;)

you see the nice color contrast the tan cloth provides against the orig aqua table trim color and the light green wall color?

the tourney blue cloth conflicts with the aqua and the green on the walls. geez, don't you guys have any design sense?

maybe I will go with tourney blue, after all, despite my comment above. I do like playing on it.

need a few more people to push me off the fence though.

Ewwwwww, that stings all the way on his side of the pond! Hope none of your cues were damaged then or from the humidity in the future!

R,

Greg

I used to have the tan cloth on my table and I agree, you can see the balls very well. But when I changed the cloth this last time I went with blue, It plays just as well for me and I like the look of it better. Just dont get red, they should outlaw that stuff!

Just do what makes you happy, after all you are the one thats going to be using it!.

I'm still jealous though, I WISH I had your room. (even with the water damage)

That sucks. I'd bet as old as it is, the table will dry out and be ok. I'd move all of my cues out of that room for awhile. The marlin should be fine:smile:

it sucks that ur stuff got wet but damn that is the ugliest color of pool cloth i have ever seen lol dude seriously get blue lol throw that away lol hope your doin well

That is a bit of bad luck. Hope you are able to be back up and running racks soon Brian.

KC, sorry to hear about your problems.
Change the cloth, dry cleaning or laundering won' help, the cloth will feel
rough.
Unlike a lot of these fashion critics on AZ, I don't mind the cloth color.

I would suggest moving your cues upstairs away from the dampness.

And will you get some shelves for your trophies????/
...you probably got some more on the way.
