Well,

I just spent 30 hours traveling. Went through five airports and through three duty free shops and about six shops selling handbags and luggage.

In addition I read the SkyMall catalog twice. Honestly, I didn't know that there is THAT much demand for the negative to digital scanners anymore but there were at least three different ones for sale in the SkyMall catalog.

But what really caught my eye was the red Iphone case. A little leather case with a snap in the front. $150. And if you wanted you could buy the matching credit card case and save a little getting them both for $250.

Now I understand commerce, and I understand image, and I understand prestige. I also understand making things and what goes into them.

We made this case and when it was done I felt like it belongs in stores like these airport shops with their high end luxury cases. Actually, I don't think that it belongs there.

Why not? Because this case deserves to never have to sit on a shelf like a little high end orphan waiting for adoption.

It deserves to have a home from conception onward. It is the kind of case where the owner of it can walk through these high end stores with their $2000 hand bags and say to himself, mine is better than all these.

Well, at least this is how I felt walking through these stores.

:-)

Now let's ruin this imagery with some specs. This case is made using very luxurious oil tan. The interior has matching brown fabric that is soft to the touch. The ball tray is made of high density closed cell EVA in three different densities for ease of use. We covered the tray with super light kid leather in black.

I am just very proud of this case. We are sort of moving in the direction of doing more and more purses and manbags, briefcases and the like. This one just came out very nice and elegant to me.

Hope you feel the same way.

Nice workmanship and beautiful materials. Since you have branched out and produce other items, I have a question. Would you build a 1x1 leather covered box case for me? No handle and no storage compartment, and no lock. Black or very dark brown. I would like the inner shell to be aluminum. Case is for a 58'' cue. I want it to be very plush on the inside, and using the very best stainless steel hardware. PM or just answer here. If you will, please give me an estimated build cost.

Let me think about that. I don't normally do the box cases.

This weekend I am at the ICCS but when I get back let's talk about it. I can show the aluminum frames we (the factory who does our production cases) currently use for Sterling's cases and if those work then we can address making one very plush and secure with the hardware you want.

I like the BALL CASE, and would love one in NYLON because my POOL BALLS do not justify such a nice Leather home!

How much for a Ball Case with the same Handle as my Palace Garden Case and the Top of the Case with the same tooling too and ONE Colored Orchid:eek::grin:

The case interior looks really nice, well thought out. I would like to see better pics of the inside top, where you had to add padding.

I don't understand the question? Had to add padding?

The balls are protected on top with a layer of eva foam covered by the same liner fabric that we use for our cases.

The case interior is basically the same idea as the Aramith case except that I chose to taper it slighty and add the finger holes on the top layer so that gripping and removing the balls would be easier.

On the Aramith case there is a zippered compartment on the outside and I thought that a zipper there wouldn't look good so we made a slide in pouch with a hidden magnetic closure. Good for slipping a book of drills or your favorite JB Cases yearbook into it.

I added the same handle that we use on most of our cases and reinforced it with a phenolic sheet backing to give the case enough form where the handle is.

Will send you a quote Ralf. Thank you. That would be a nice matching set.

Your case got some nice compliments from an amazing silversmith in Sarasota today.
