I am going to walk you through a step by step process on how to add pictures to your post. Some of you already know how to do this, but there a few individuals who have never had a tutorial on how to post pictures. This is for them.

If you feel this post is usefull please don't hesitate to give me some rep.

Moderators you might want to make this a sticky on the top of the forum.

Step 1

Click on the "New Thread" Button

Step 2
Type the title of the thread and what you would like to say in the post. Then once you are ready to insert your first picture, click on the picture icon located between the title and your message.

Step 3
You will then have another smaller window pop up that ask for the URL (or the web location) of the photo you would like to add. If the picture is located on your hard drive I will be covering that a little later in the instructions.

Step 4
Enter the URL (or the web location) of the photo you would like to add. The click the OK button.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 if you have multiple pictures you would like to add.

Once you have added the pictures the post it will look like the following.

What about sizing the pictures?

Resizing the pictures is a lot harder to give tutorial on, since there are a million different ways to do it. Maybe I will work on that for my next set of instructions.

?

First of all, tap tap tap.

In order to imbed a picture in the body of your post, it looks like it must be published to a website (i.e. assigned a url).

What are some sites that allow you to publish pictures for free? I see that you use www.villagephotos.com.

Also, for resizing pics, what is the max resolution you can select and still meet the 100 KB file size limit? (I suppose this may be dependent on the dimensions of the picture...)

I use www.imageshack.us for image hosting.
An easy tip for reducing picture size is opening the file with windows paint and save it, paint uses a high compression, if I take a paintshop picture I can usually reduce the size from 150kb to 100kb without resizing the actual picture.
I also use paint for resizing pictures, works very easy. I use a dutch version, so I can't tell you the exact name of the pull-down menu's. Great work moccabee!

Sorry Mike, I don't see what you're referring to. Can you elaborate?
