Rare Ernie Martinez Merrywidow F/S

paulybatz

"The Professor"
Silver Member
Ebony forearm / Buttsleeve
Solid uncored (seasoned for about 10 years)

Solid Paduak Handle
Sterling silver ringwork
13mm shafts (1 played / 1 unplayed)
approx 19.7 OZ

I spoke with Ernie and he will not be making a cue like this again.

Plays very nice, great balance, similar hit to a SW with very nice feedback.

I would keep it but have shifted from wrapless back to linen wrapped cues.

The Paduak is very stricking against the ebony, which is very black. Both the Ebony and Paduak had been sitting in rounds for many years before they were turned into this cue. This cue always turned heads.

About

About 2.5 years ago, right before Ernie shifted to the shop he is in right now.

Thanks half fast! I really am having reservations...this cue needs a player. I am one of those people who believe that cues should be played NOT collected. However, this cue fits both bills, it is 1/1 collectible as well as a jam up player!

This is more rare than any merrywidow out there. I am surprised no one is jumping on it...dont forget about your tax rebate checks will be coming!

Someone is going to steal this cue and love every second of it. If I didnt go back to linen, Id keep it. Took it out the other night, hits the balls very well, great balance and feedback! If its not sold by Sunday, Ill keep it for a while.

Bump for the weekend Crew

Thanks MATTY, me too!

The cue is all "solid" wood, solid ebony and solid paduak, no weight bolt, totally natural...and that translates into the totally pure feeling the cue gives. This is my FINAL bump this time around, Ive pretty much convinced myself to keep this one unless someone contacts me within the next 17 hours.
