I remember the guy at the booth relating that the family just didn't have an interest in his stuff anymore. There were some nice items there: a few of his cues, even a cue made for his son. They're selling Willie's Gold Crown 1 also.
I was told that they're estimating that his personal cue that he played with may bring in over $200,000. I guess we'll see......makes me wish I went to the estate sale at his house in New Jersey. I heard there were some pretty good deals to be had.

I got a brochure in the mail today for the auction. It is included with other sports memorabilia. 30 pages of Willie Mosconi memorabilia!!
For baseball, basketball boxing and other sports fans, it is a motherload.

Scott - thanks for the update.
Don't get me wrong - I like Hunt and have won plenty of sports auctions from them in the past, but I'm really surprised that the Mosconi family chose them to auction the Balabushka - that cue would bring a lot more from a more prominent auction house.
