I have been away from the game and the boards for about a year.
Came accross his videos in my library last night and was wondering what ever happend to him and if he is still playing. Last I heard he was running a room in Texas I believe.
 
I'd like to know too. I saw him play in the Olathe Ring Game and heard of a few gambling sets last year, but that's it. Hope he still has the pool room and is married to that beautiful blonde.

I was visiting with him for a little while in Dallas, Tx. He owns a night club there and he is doing very well for himself.

Blackjack, you are correct.

He is dating a blonde, who helps him manage the nightclub that he owns. He is doing well for himself, and still gets out to hit a few balls around from time to time. I have a friend who is really good friends with CJ, so I've gotten to hang out with him a few times recently. His main focus is by far the nightclub, and I think he's in the process of remodeling another nightclub as well.
 
it'd be nice to see him make a comeback run and win a big tournament one more time, he certainly has the ability and talent.

He competed in this year's US Open and won a few matches I believe.


It'd be great if CJ would also consider opening another proper pool hall that gave the area a legitimate top notch pool hall.
 
Is his old place still there under new ownership or did it close?

I played there for just a little while but it was a nice room and had some decent action. Real nice people there.
