Player ability ranking

I have a question about player ability level. A,b,c players how do you figure out how to rank yourself. I have improved a lot over the last two years. Lessons etc. I play even with the ghost on a tight 8 ft olhausen, and yes the pockets have the " olhausen rattle". I was wondering how I would rank. Please give your honest opinion.

Find someone you know is an A player, match up, and see if you come close to even.
Even better, find a strong B player and smash him to get the same information!

Enter an open tournament and see if you get in the cash. If you do note how far you place from the top.
 
Cory, is nearest to being correct.
Go to your local pool room and find a C player. If you can consistently beat him you're at least a C. Then match up with a B player. If he consistently cleans your clock then you know you're a C. :smile:
