Thanks to John Showman for my new cue!

Please.........no cue-maker worth a tinkers dam would ever send a custom cue albeit even very expensive, without being paid in full unless the client ordering the cue was a repeat customer or an established dealer with a impeccable relationship.

No one is that dumb, naïve, or idiotic.......to ever ship a expensive, custom cue that way or for that matter, to ever believe the OP thread was just contrived bullshit........DUH??????????

John just said in this thread that he does it sometimes, calm down

But I still want to see that cue

Mel......."John just said in this thread that he does it sometimes"...........personally speaking, that seems totally amazing and almost incredulous.........nonetheless, it's interesting that John omitted any mention, or confirmation, that he did that very same thing with the cue in this thread that's being doubted, mocked and scorned with ridicule.......one would think that Mr. Showman would vividly remember something like that, especially since the cue is supposedly in transit right now.......doesn't something seem out of focus with this photo in your camera lens too??

It does seem odd that the transaction occurred as posted, but didn't john confirm it did?

Jus because it happened once does not mean it is a standard practice. I dealt with a well know cue maker- not diveney- that made me and a friend a helluva deal on 3 cues coz he had a special need to fill.

Good Heavens!!!
Am I to understand that the OP is possibly fibbing?!?! or even worse, the OP may in fact be an associate of Mr. Showman's?!
My gawd, what is this world coming to. I suppose one could consider this OP guilty of "dirty pool"
How awful

I think the Obamacare website will be up and running before the appearance of this cue...

This is up for Funniest post of the year award LOL

This reminds me of the time I took a walk through the woods and saw a leprechaun riding a unicorn pissing rainbows. It was so beautiful and magical I wept.

True story.
I was there and it inspired this lovely work that, if anyone is interested, I'll be recreating for $1,500 a pieace. 5 year wait. 25% deposit required.

Hello

I heard of this site and signed up to share my experience with John Showman of Showman cues. Years ago, I ordered a cue for my husband and went to visit John yesterday to check on the progress. I also explained my husband is no longer playing pool and we probably could not afford the level of cue we ordered. While talking, I knocked over USPS tube and apologized. John said no problem, that guy does not want the cue inside anyway. He then told me the USPS lady returned it this morning, as the person moved with no forwarding address. He then tried calling and after a few disconnected numbers, he could not get in touch with the guy. After a few moments, John offered to sell me the cue, refund the small deposit to the guy (if he ever calls?) and heres the amazing part, for the price the guy was suppose to pay years ago when he ordered it!

I got a cue for half the price of the cue I have on order and probably the only I could afford such a nice cue at this time. I cried. John is so nice. My husband gets home on Friday and we will post pictures then. I do not even know what it looks like!

riiiiiiight.... so my "wife" is gonna buy my next cue, sight unseen by her or me ?? Yeah, that is gonna happen with a pool player ?? not even really sure why my "wife" would ever have contact with a cuemaker.... I can tell you if any chicago area cuemakers kidnapped me, my wife would be the last person to be able to find me :)

The other part I do not believe is the P.O. returned it . I have been selling cues and J/Ps on line for 15 yrs , and had several parcells disappear , never received by buyer and NEVER had one parcel ever returned by the P.O. , I asked them the other day " Why do I even bother to put a return address on ." Of course finding anyone that cares is another problem, at the P.O. :(

I don't post very often and keep my thoughts to myself but this tops them all. The only thing this story
Needs is a cherry on top and a hoppe cue in the mail to ken I mean really they didn't want too honor the deal in writing to ken but they will let someone that doesn't play pool have a cue for half off.

You really need to STFU on things you know nothing about. Don't ASS*U*ME!

I don't know anything to say about this thread or the issue that other guy, Ken, is having. And, John said he sent out many packages without being paid and I don't know anything about that either.

What I *do know* and can say is that John shipped me cues without getting paid. I think all he knew me was from forums and a mutual friend who vouched for me. And I got busy at work and had to be gently reminded by him before I hurriedly sent him a personal check for the amount we agreed on. And he helped me with some information I needed when I was doing a major purchase from unknown-to-me oversea seller .
