Should the BCA change the specs on corner

I dont know how much miter angle matters but I think 4 1/4" would be too small. My GC is 4 1/4" to 4 3/8", when it is time to recover I will have pockets opened to 4 1/2"+. When I play on a Valley it is obviously much easier cause of the big pockets but I may not be taking full advantage of cheating the pockets simply because on my tighter table that I play on all the time I can not cheat the pockets as much. Going from a tight pocket to a big pocket table gives you confidence but its hard to say if it really makes you play better.

4 3/8 at 139* should play ok.
At 139*, rail shots are better than 141*.

Angles less than 141 will make tighter pockets play easier.
More than 143 make tight pockets play tougher. The WPA
pocket specs are 4 1/2 in. with an angle of 142+1 degree.

As the mouth of the pocket gets tighter, so does the back.
A 143+ pocket angle shimmed out 1/4" makes balls rattle.

I have a nice accurate protractor, I will measure my pocket angles and let you guys know. I know it seems very easy to rattle a ball on my table, sometimes it almost looks as if the ball is actually starting to fall but gets kicked back out, although it must be an illusion, I dont think that would be possible.

Better spec the shelf deep also. Makes a huge difference on ball acceptance and is directly related to pocket angles.
