they're matched up at 1 hole playing even. 3-2 balls jay. Joey just broke even with ronnie playing 4 games of 1 hole even! Strong!

Thats great, I have recently just started playing one hole and I like it alot, and Im just about ready to start looking for some matches but to be honest I dont know where Id find a game. Its a shame more people dont play...

I wish I was there. If I got a laptop could I do this too. "The Roving Reporter" Am I the only one home on Saturday night. Eeks I gotta go its a game.....

joey still up 1 game. James walden is playing an ahead set with donnie mills. Just started

I lost two games to JoeyA. Congrats Joey, you played good. He made ALL the banks and hit the pockets on those tight Diamonds better than me. I tried to play with a cue off the wall and that was a mistake. Joey plays a little too strong for that. We did go down to the last ball in the final game. If I had made it, we would have broken even.

I WILL be bringing my Josey to Derby City for our rematch Joey. Count on it! I ain't done yet! It was great to meet JoeyA, Deadpoked, axejunkie, MIAPOW and mmike. Maybe a few others I'm missing here. Sorry. Had a great time in Norfolk at the Open. It was a terrific event and almost all the top players were there.

The two best players were in the Finals, Shane and Ronnie. Had a blast working with Danny D. and Jim Wyche on the TV table. Both do a great job. Danny and I see the same things most of the time and Jimmy has real enthusiasm for the job. Prompts to Jimmy also for the way he handles the post match interviews and the awards ceremoney. He is a terrific MC.

Behind the scenes Pat Fleming keeps everything on course and Rob Sykora shuffles all the pieces adroitly. And they have a great crew working with them. Julian, Dean, Buster, Mark, Brian and a couple more whose names I don't remember. Sorry again. They made my job easy, just sit up there and talk about the match. What I like to do anyway.

Wish I would have had more time to play some pool, but I was usually tired by the end of the evening. I worked the last match Friday night (Saturday AM) between Ralf and Ramil that ended after 4:30 AM. I didn't bring my cue, because I didn't want to check it when I was transfering planes in Dallas and also I didn't want to wait for it at Baggage Claim. No excuses, Joey played better, it could have been worse. :)

Jay,

You did a great job on the commentary - I really enjoyed it. What a tournament, what a finals. To see Shane rise up an win the U.S. Open was fantastic!

It sounds like you caught a tiger by the tail that night. Ronnie is no slouch and if Joey was keeping pace even in the short run it shows he was hitting them well.

I want to give you props as well on your commentary. I am really not the biggest fan of either Danny or Jim and I was pleased when you jumped in the box. Danny and Jim aren't bad by any means it just seems that they seem to say the same things and make the same jokes. You brought a welcome change.

No EXCUSES!!!!!! Except for the following: you had to play with a house cue; you had no time to play pool; you were tired; you never brought your cue.
(just kidding you)

Darn, and I was gonna bet on Joey A on V-bookie.

Joey A just called and he's stuck in the Tampa airport between flights. He's supposed to call me back any second now and I may go pick him up and take him to a poolroom until his departing flight.

There's always time for a quick set between flights... imo
