Hi All,

DATE CHANGE: (this was from Melissa) "I changed the date of Toms fundraiser to Saturday, July 9th at the Wynkoop... please help me spread the word... thanks"

Since there were many interested in Tom Ross' recovery from his stroke, I thought it would be OK to post this too. Melissa Little is putting on a fundraiser for Tom Ross/Boulder Community Hospital (in-house rehab center) by putting on a Pool Tournament in Tom's honor, "Cueing Folks with Strokes". Here is what Melissa posted on her facebook page for those that are not able to view it: It will be a pool tournament (someone will win a pool table), a silent auction, and Tom will be doing challenge matches... OK FB friends I need gift items for the silent auction, participation, and also if you know of ANY pool players that have had a stroke and lived through it- please forward there names so I can honor them that day... thanks for coming together on this one... PLEASE RESPOND THIS IS A GREAT CAUSE:-)

I was in the same boat as Paul in 2001. Well, not exactly the same boat. We weren't fishing together.
I have a little something from Cliff Thorburn that might go over well for the silent auction. I sent her an email so all I have to do is get an address to send it to.

I'm seriously excited about this and I live a ton of miles away from the action.

That's awesome BH ridr. Melissa would probably like your contact info to honor you at the event, besides your generosity. She is trying to identify all pool playing stroke victims.

Dave this is just the ticket to get a few of us together. I will check out the info and if possible I will help and might even show up. We need to find a way to coax Blue Hog ridr into showing up:)

Jim will woof at him if it helps.
 
Argh, scheduling conflict

Any chance of a reschedule ? The event falls on the same weekend as the VNEA tourney in Vegas. Alot of people who would have loved to participate (myself included) wont be able to.

Someone asked Melissa about the scheduling on facebook and she said that was the only date they had available. I suggest to go to Melissa's website and email her to see if anything can be done. Thanks for your post RR, you would be missed if it doesn't work out.

Thanks Dave. I'll do what I can. Hoping for a huge turnout, I'll try and get my hands on a flyer and drop it off at the Skylark.
