Schon R13

Yea u better hold on too it that thing is sweet best schon ever seen lol

Nice

I like the veneer color combo on that one. Most of those R13's were red. I have seen a few blues and a few greens and I think this is only the second or third natural veneered one I have seen. The joint flat faced? I have one of the first Schon's made and it has the implex joint made with a material that resembles ivory and it plays great.

Very nice cue..

I think I might have it's twin.. Notice the rings above and below the wrap and above the buttcap are different..

Bob Runde has a great recall of the R series cues made at Schon and if a R13 cue, or any R series cue, was ordered with an
ivory joint, I'm pretty sure he'd remember as that order would have undoubtedly gone through Bob's hands.

In any event, this cue's joint could have been replaced which isn't very hard to do. I had Bob Owen change out a piloted steel joint
on a Shurtz cue for a flat ivory joint and Bob returned the cue to me looking and playing like a brand new cue.

If you like this cue, then it shouldn't matter whether the joint on the R13 cue is or isn't original......it's still a nice cue either way.

Beautiful classic and undoubtedly a keeper

Love the old sharp-pointed Schons!
They are under-rated cues IMO.
What is the exact length of the butt?
Joint collar seems a hair short.

Bob Runde is making me one now
I love this cue

By the way if you notice the avatar Piano cue in the top post

I just bought it back from Will

Now its mine again

I got it from Paul Mottey to show at a piano concert we hosted

Wil Prout got it and traded it back to me for my 1967v Triumph Bonneville

Will"Here we go " bought it from me

Now I am getting it back for the 4th time

The funny thing is that I made 3 friends in the dealing
not every sale results in friendship, but it is nice
when you meet people that you enjoy a friendship with in the process of buying or selling

If wil prout will post pics of the motorcycle you guys will see
something very special

wil bought it with no pictures
