What would be the value of an older logo Tim Scruggs cue? Here are sapecs:
3 cocobolo points into beautiful stained birdseye forearm,
Each point has 4 veneers (R/y/r/b)
wrap is black irish linrn
joint is solid ivory with 3/8x10 flatfaced joint
2 shafts, one 12mm and one 13mm, both with ivory ferrules and the dash ring circles at the shaft joint and the butt joint. Black ebony butt sleeve, white delrin butt cap with the old style "TS" logo.

What is a value or an offer?

From the pics it looks like it might only be 2 points. I have never heard of a Scruggs with 3 points before. I would guess worth in the neighborhood of 800-1000.

Trust me on this one...even though I was educated in beautiful Lower Alabama (LA) I can count up to 3. There are 3 points. I was told that Tim made a very few of these cues which were the starting point for his 6 point cues. He would build the 3 point blank, then hand cut the other 3 points into it. Sometimes, he liked the way the cue looked with 3 points, so he would finish it that way.

there was another thread by Nick.. did he buy this cue or is it still for sale?

It is on its way to Nickserdula...contact him if you are interested, he will probably sell it.

No way

This will be my bar cue. I told Joe I thought it would be worth $200-$300 less than a 4 point veneer cue of simular construction and condition. I havn't seen it yet. I really like that it has a snooker and playing shaft. It is just how I would have ordered it for me!
I had asked Joe to keep an eye out for a sneaky Frey or Scruggs and he said how about this cue what do you think it is worth and have you ever seen a 3 point Scruggs?
If I sell it Bama gets a big biscuit!
Thanks Bama
Nick

No offense Joe, I wasn't trying to question your intelligence. It is just interesting that in a picture showing virtually 180 degrees you can only see one point. Nice cue.

Trust me...no offense taken. I used that Alabama education routine regularly when I was working with the government, ie, "Well that's what I think, but remember that I got my education in Alabama." Always brought a laugh because they knew I was the senior person in my field, and that I held an MBA and PhD, so I wasn't quite as dumb as I looked...if that is possible.
