I have some things going on in my personal reality that is dictating the need for me to, sadly, part with my beloved Skip 'Captive Hearts' cue. :( This cue has actually seen fairly minimal play as I have no leagues going on this year. Conservatively, I would put her at 95%..although I would say she is at 97%-98%.:D Cue was received in May '06. Point and inlay work is just absolutely flawless!!

Weight: 19 oz.

Shafts: 2 x 13mm; one unplayed with Triangle tip, one played with Moori M tip...little or no blueing. Ivory ferrules on both shafts. Shaft collar rings are BdR, not phenolic.

Forearm: 4 Bois de Rose (Madagascar Rosewood) points, 3 'veneers' (Curly Maple, double-thick Pink Ivory, BdR) into super Curly Maple nose. Ivory heart surrounded by Pink Ivory oval inlayed in each point.

Joint: Piloted solid Ivory "H" joint with 5/16 x 14 pin. Joint collar ring is BdR, not phenolic.

Wrap: Burgundy Monitor lizard.

Butt: BdR butt sleeve containing 4 Ivory hearts surrounded by Pink Ivory ovals inlays. Butt cap has varigation in coloring like Ivory, but may be a very, very good Ivory substitute.

Stitch rings of Curly Maple and Pink Ivory @ A,B,C,D,& E. All rings line up perfectly, as rings should.

The coloring in the pics are pretty right on the mark for how the cue actually looks. There is a beautiful grain to this variety of rosewood, and when the light hits it right, it shimmers this deep rich burgundy color. Everything is straight, together and apart.

This cue is amazing! It plays soooo well. Guys, this would make an awesome gift for that special lady in your life, what with Christmas just around the corner an all...wink, wink, nudge, nudge.;)

Cue has a retail of $2500, the black cherry Murnak 1x2 case that goes with this cue, and comes with a pocket and padded shoulder strap, retails for $210.00. I have already done a bit of research, and know what the market should bear for this cue. PM or email onthehillagain@yahoo.com I also have larger versions of some of the pics below, if needed.

SOLD!!

Thanks for looking.

It's a gorgeous cue. I wish I had a girlfriend to give it to, although I don't think my wife would appreciate it. C'mon guys, let's help this lady out.

Very funny- can always find someone on AZB to make a grey day less so...

Sorry you have to sell your Skip, Lisa. We know how much you like it and therefore how necessary it must be:o :( :)

Good luck with the sale of your Skip, Lisa. Looks like somebody is going to get a peach of a cue and case! Would make a generous and over-the-top gift for a poolplaying girlfriend or wife. Christmas is around the corner

I just recieved my Skip, and you gonna part with yours. :(

Good luck for the sale Lisa. Hope things will turn out like what you wanted in the first place.

This is like selling your pet.
I feel your Lis, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Good luck.

Wish I could buy this cue as it is like the sister cue to my James White. Very similar look if you remember, and we had it built around the same time.

Good luck on the sale!

Hey Lisa,

Sorry to hear that the cue has to go, but remember there are plenty of cues out there for the future, and Skip will still be making cues next year. You should see some of his new forearm blanks; our cues just missed that boat!

Good luck with the sale, and that is imo a VERY reasonable asking price.

Lisa,

Gorgeous cue, ma'am. Sorry to see you have to let it go....but I completely understand when "real life" takes a front seat to pool.

Best of luck on your sale....and likewise to your situation.

Mark

That would have been the perfect cue for the wife, but I had ordered a hearts cue from Capone a couple of months ago, and will have it in hand next week. Sorry you have to sell that cue, I remember when you got it. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks so much for all the well wishes...it is most certainly appreciated.

Carter: Yes, I in fact do remember your White, and yes, they are extremely close...would make a lovely pair. ;)

Roger: I tried very hard to make the pricing attractive to all involved. While, yes, I would like to get more, I am also free of grandiose expectations. For those uninitiated, this is a whole lotta cue for the money...and there is a Murnak case to boot! You do not often run into cue and case combos like this one!

Mark: I knew you would understand!

Jeffrey: Timing is everything, isn't it?...Lol. Capone makes a very fine cue, I am sure your wife will be quite happy.

Martin, Erwin, Joey, Bob, Mystick, Balled...thanks all so much for the bumpage...I am grateful.

Lisa

Hi, Lisa-

Sorry you have to part with that cue, it is beautiful and I remember how much you anticipated its arrival. Some lucky player will get a great deal on this Skip.

Hope all goes well for you.

Has anyone here ever shipped a cue to Taiwan? What about bank wire transfers originating from Taiwan?

I have a buyer, I think, but want to make sure that all is on the up and up. The absolute last thing I need right now is some 'tomfoolery' concerning this cue.

It is only because of some of the incidences here as of late that I am asking...so any advice would be most certainly appreciated.

Thanks!
Lisa
