Since many of us couldn't take the time off to travel to the big tourney and are stuck at home playing with themselves, as it were, I offer two solitaire games, this being the first.
We've actually been playing the solitaire games with several people taking turns trying to get the best score of the group, but we also tend to fight over whose turn it is and whether second attempts after "bad rolls" are allowed just- this- one- time.
Primary Goal:
To make all balls in as few shots as possible.
Secondary Goals:
To think more creatively.
Rules:
Put the CB anywhere you want to start.
Shoot any ball/s you want, no order.
Count the number of shots it takes you to make all 15 balls.
Game ends on a scratch, foul, or when all balls have been sunk. Keep shooting after misses, just count each shot into your total.
Side stories:
--It's kind of like golf- the real golf- where "par" can be considered 15 and anything lower is good.
--Boyfriend has figured out a way to fairly consistently make either three or four balls on his first shot [the bals he makes are: the 1, the 11, the 9, and sometimes the 7]. He's looking for a better intro shot, while I just look for a stroke.
