The builder should hit that cue. Nobody else (IMO). If the buyer want's a new tip, I'd replace.
Please show pics!

Thanks Matt, Response sent, photos in another day or so. The Macassar is dark, rich, and unform in color.

another photo...maybe the nicest looking new SW I got this year. This is not a real common combination. Looks classy to me. Nice subtle figure in the woods. The shafts are super.

Emailed you. I'll take it. That might be the most beautiful SW cue I've seen.

That's exactly what I was going to say!

By far, the best looking SW ever.

Not boring coco & BEM, and not over-the-top with disparate scrimshaw work; this is one BEAUTIFUL cue!!

WTG, Martin! (and Laurie)

nice snag, it's a keeper

Thanks Hal. I remember when you bought yours and I've just been waiting to see the right one for me. I just bought a nice ENGLES case w/ the Southwest logo engraved on it from bogey, so that will be a nice combination.

That truly is the nicest SW I have ever seen or could imagine. It is classy, looks superb and it really stands out of the line.

Matt_24, you got the nicest SW, congratulations!

Patience paid off.

I've got to tell you, for quite a while I've been biding my time....waiting for the right SW Cue. I'm really glad I did, because when I heard the description of this cue yesterday, and then saw the photos I knew it had my name on it.

I've been really thinking Franklin Era -- even going against some quite expert opinions on the matter of buying a non-Franklin SW, BUT, she is unchalked and I love the idea of being the first owner (Martin is the dealer)/user of this cue.

And please believe.....this cue will get PLAYED with. I cannot wait to break her in. I will be her first and only. (wow.....kind of like I'm marrying this cue).

First I would like to say that the cue you have/had for sale is very nice looking and this question below does not pertain to your cue in any way. If this question is misplaced I apologize.

I just would to ask a question about SW cues in general. Why are these so sought after? I have seen many of these cues and nothing in particular made me say WOW I gotta have that. I admit that most of the SW's I have seen are plain jane style (like this one) with no inlays and the price is very expensive IMO. These cue get bought up right away all the time and I'm just wondering what the big attraction is. Is it the hit, the maker, or both, or something else completely?

Again, I apologize for using this thread for this question but I thought where better to get an answer than the people who looked at this thread and are interested in this cue and have the knowledge I don't.

Merry Christmas!

Jim
