Terry,
To me this is the "holy grail" of a Frankling SW's. My favorite combo...
Coco nose with ebony point and rings all positions and the price super fair as well. Can't get better than that!

Only cost me $550 (NEW)......... $2XXX.XX for the same cue?????????????

So you decide your first post on AZ
should be a negative one? I would say
welcome to AZ, but somehow I can't
seem to muster up that sentiment...
Seems as though it's right up your
alley with your screen name as well...

How do you spell Idiot???

And if you want to sell some of those original Franklin SW's, please send me an email. I will show up with a truck and take all that I can carry. Of course, last I heard, Jerry wasn't making any more (especially at that price) since he went on to be with the LORD.

Here's some advice. You aren't smart enough to realize how dumb you sound, so why don't you just go back to lurking?

Welcome to AZ, and enjoy the negative rep!!!

Showing up with a TRUCK......

Right,

Now.................. PUT DOWN that illegal substance you're obviously using............. and come back down to "REALITY"........

If what I said................. chaps your A$$.................... so be it......

IT IS............... accurate................. truthful................

Because there are many "FOOLS" out there who will enrich you with their stupidity................ Don't fool yourself............... There aint a Stick Out there worth MORE than some poor smuck is willing to pay for it..... if that's $37.50...................... you'd be way overy priced on this one, eh?????

The cue is Nice Looking, will give you that..... worth $3XXX.XX knowing it probably sold for less than 1/4 of that.................. absurd!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rackrunner,

Great cue, and here's a bump.

I don't know why this idiot troll has latched on to it. Maybe because he has no life, as well as no knowledge about cues... or probably anything else, for that matter.

Good luck on the sale, and to the idiot troll... welcome to my ignore list - I'm sure I'm not the only one, either. LOL!!!

I never thought I'd get involved in a flame war on AZ, but OMG...

Here's the deal...

Once upon a time, MAYBE, you could have acquired such a cue for 550.00...25 years ago.

Hell, I bought a few SW cues in the early 90s...both Kersch, in fact, for 400.00 and 600.00...that was then...I also used to pay .85 for a pack of smokes. Those days are over.

I ordered an ebony/tulipwood SW in 95 and it was exactly 1085.00...15 years ago. I got it in 02 and I wouldn't part with it for less that 3k. In fact, I'll never part with it.

The waiting list on SW cues is 11 years now, I believe, and they no longer honor the price you're quoted originally, which they shouldn't, due to the incredible demand and inflation of the cues.

This Franklin Era cue is worth every bit of 3k+ to someone that values the hit and quality of a SW.

Making such silly statements about one of the elite custom cue names in the pool world is just plain ignorant.

Would you expect someone to sell you a 66 GTO in mint condition for the sticker price of 4500.00? Ain't gonna happen.

Good luck OP with the sale of the cue, it's worth every penny.

Well, someone is certainly a fool on this posting, but it is not Rackrunner.

The market determines the price of a pool cue...it will either sell at the asked price, or it won't.

I seriously doubt that you ever bought a Jerry Franklin for $500 or any other price. If you had, you would know that, in the 16 years since his death, they have become EXTREMELY desirable and collectible. Anyone who had purchased one back in the 80s would certain know that and would not make such a totally STUPID remark as you made.

Nice cue, Terry.

WOW! Quickest BAN since the re-return of Bark, or Pain, or Wheat.....

And well deserved.

FANTASTIC looking Franklin SW, RR!

I think is that this guy is a regular on the forum but started this new handle to stir things up.

He made a similar comment on another thread.

I'm glad he is banned but I suspect he will do this again with another new handle.

Bump again for a gorgeous cue, now that the negativity has been removed. Kudos to Mr. Wilson for the speed, too.

I remember Laurie Franklin saying that coco gets darker with time, and she was right! That is some AWESOME looking coco, and it's almost as dark as the ebony.

The pictures are nice, but I'm willing to be they don't do this beauty justice.

Good luck again with the sale!

Thank you for the kind words Sir...
I appreciate the compliments on the pictures, but
I truly think my pictures lack any artistic flair but
I will agree, the cue looks much better in person...

Nice Cue, do you know the number of the last cue Jerry made was?

Hey guys, i would have the same question because i heared that none of the 1996 cues are Jerry Franklin ones.
In case of that it would be great if you all could help !!

Until which date and cuenumber we should speak about a Jerry one

I'm not sure what the number of the last cue was that went out of the shop before Jerry's untimely passing on May 11, 1996. But I can guarantee that the number 301 96 would be considered a Franklin-era cue, as they start every year at 300. So whoever told you all of the 96 cues are not Jerry's IMHO is mistaken because that makes no sense to me. If anything I would think this cue would be worth just a little more due to the fact it is 301 of 96.

Thanks for your great explanation - I didn´t know the thing about starting each year with 300.
Learned something again here on AZ !!
Maybe somebody who knows Laura better could ash her, which was the number, you know.
But of course, I which you all the best for the sale of that awesome cue.
