i think you might be right. i meant to say inlayed points vs spliced points.

Myself, I believe full spliced to be stronger than either half spliced or inlaid points. between the two latter methods I don't believe one to be stronger than the other if done properly.

From a technical standpoint they are all inlayed points.
Wood is removed and replaced with another wood or material.

However, a full splice is commonly believed to be the stronger joint.
IF you can feel a difference then it is up to you as to which one is best.
