Bought this cue from Eric Crisp in June 08. Signed in the butt section. This cue has been refinished or refurbished by Eric.
The butt cap has been replaced, the joint collar was replaced, and there was 2 new shafts made for this cue. It is in great condition. For my screw up I`m dropping the price of the cue. Sorry AZ community.

Spec for this cue; Gaboon Ebony 4 pointer, 3/8x10 brass pin
Butt wt; 15.36oz wt shaft#1 4.16oz wt shaft #2 3.84oz, superpro tips I think.
Cue has only been test hit. Total wt; 19.2oz or 19.52oz, 58 inches long,
Both shaft diameters 13.02mm, BEM forearm, points are not all even. The Gaboon Ebony has some real nice brown streaks through it. One thing to point out there is a small swirl mark in the black joint collar, its definitely under the clearcoat. It will not show up in any of my pics & you have to look close to find it. Just wanted to be honest about this.
Price SOLD

I might be able to throw in a BRAND NEW 1x2 cue case in the deal.
Thanks & enjoy Jeff

So are you saying this cue was made in 2008?

I don't need to call Eric...your the owner of the cue, and I'm asking you... Your quote above seems to be a bit misleading...I think most would assume the cue was delivered to you as a new cue in june of 2008.....So I'm asking you again...was this cue delivered to you as a NEW cue in june of 2008?

Yes Dale the cue was delivered to me as a new cue in June 2008.
Thanks Jeff

WOW! Nice looking cue, with a really, really "nice" price tag!

I've been watching some of the Sugertree cues for sale on here and I have a question for both the sellers and buyers.

Why or for what reasons are these Sugertree cues priced so high? Most of what I've seen on here are cues made from full splice blanks (doesn't matter who made them IMO). I could see this cue priced between $450-$650, but I've seen many of his full splice cues over $800! What's going on with Sugertree cues that I'm not aware of?

I also want to state that I've never spoken to Eric personally and don't know much about him, have no issues with him or his cues, am just really curious!

Thanks,
Zim

Here we go again .... You got no business posting this i someone's for sale thread. Especially since you are a cue maker. You could've asked this question in a separate thread/forum if you really wanted to discuss this.

No, here we don't go again! If there's a previous thread with great detail about Eric and his work, by all means post a link and I'll refer to that!

I don't come on here to degrade or question any other cue makers works, ethics, prices or customer service... I'm truely interested in learning more about Sugertree cues! What makes them popular, high priced, and why there's a 2 year waiting list (according to what I read in a previous thread)?

Not stirring things up, just honest curiosity!
Thanks,
Zim

very limited supply and high demand => people want them and will pay for them

Just to clarify things about this cue. I PM`d Eric & asked him
if he has ever built any Ebony sneakys. His reply to me was yes
I have, matter of fact I have one here right now I`m putting a
new butt cap, new joint collar, making 2 brand new shafts for it
& totally refinishing. The cue will be BRAND NEW when done. I
told Eric if the cue every comes up forsale I`d buy it. He replied
sometime later to me & said I could buy it. So I did. I hope this
helps anyone out about the cue. Its as BRAND NEW looking as
they get. It is signed in the butt section by Eric but there is no
date signed.

Nice lQQking Ebony cue!

Eric is an excellent fellow AZ'er and he is making some really nice cues -- it seems to me that his cues are HOT -- supply vs demand vs desirability drives the market value I think!?

Very nice lQQking cue Jeff....good luck with your sale! Love the ringwork too!!

The cue is not NEW...The cue used to belong to bnall...He bought it off of ebay, sent it to Eric for a refinish, have the butt cap replaced, and have a extra shaft made..bnall told me you guys had a deal on this cue....I was trying to give you an out, but you claimed the cue was new...the cue is NOT NEW, and the new potential buyer should know all the facts.....

Firstly, I really like just about every Sugartree cue I've seen here on A.Z. I do have a question, though. Why is this cue listed for over $1,000.00 when the points aren't even and there's a swirl mark in the joint collar? What am I missing that makes this cue worth so much? Thanks

Like I said I clarified this. I never said that Eric made the cue in 2008.
I received the cue in june 2008. Eric told me the cue would be in Brand New condition when I received it, which it is. I bought this cue through Eric Crisp not bnall. End of story

Thanks to everyone else for there bumps

Jeff,

I asked you if the cue was NEW...I tried to GIVE YOU A WAY OUT...You replied the cue was NEW...I don't know where your from, but in my world when a cue gets a butt cap replace, joint collar replaced, and a refinish.....thats NOT A NEW CUE....btw bnall told me awhile back he had the cue sold to you.....I really don't care who delivered it....;)
