Bob Thompson sent me a brand new 2014 prototype cue to test for him. He makes Guitars, Archery bows, and Pool cues. This cue was made out of baked wood, that has had all the things taken out that can damage the wood. They use this process for making decks, that's where he got the idea of making cues out of it. This cue plays stiffer than any cue I ever tried, like an OB shaft, and OB handle. I really like the hit.

A link to some of his cues he made in the past.

Rod, you're either up early or I'm up late...lol

Maybe Bob Thompson is on to something with the wood baking method. I guess time will tell. Great concept for cue making it would seem.

Enjoy it buddy, Jerry

If you can take out the stuff that makes wood warp, it can't be bad, I have vampire hours, lol. Thank you, Jerry. These cues are great for $500, you don't need a break cue any more, lol.

Bob was worried about the color, I told him these days, most people have gotten away from standard looking cues, as far as shaft color and ferrule color. Thank you my friend.

He's getting back into cue making then?

He does amazing work, and want's to build some of these beasts. They play like a Mike Sigel cue, only a lot nicer looking and a quarter of the price. Mike made players, you could crush a rack, and keep on shooting with his cues.
