That's too bad - condolences to his friends and family. I spoke to Abe a few times looking for cue parts - he had too many to know even what he had! He was a nice guy too.

I didn't know the man, but his family has my sympathy. Sounds like he had a lot of friends and a good life. What else could you ask for?
 
Abe was a really nice guy. I will miss our chats at Hopkins Expo. He was also a very generous host the 2 or 3 times I went to see him and his wife. He had tons of stuff, balls, cues, you name it. He was very proud and would tell great stories. He also had a great antique table that was great to hit balls on.

i dont know Mr. Wambold personally but after reading the article the pool world lost a great ambassador. My condolences to the family.
 
I didn't know this gentleman but he sure sounded like the type that I would have loved to converse with.

How great was that photo of his old billiards service panel truck? :thumbup:

I have known Abe for 20 years , he did repairs for me before I got my own lathe.
He will be missed for sure
