Pete Tonkin`s Native American cue, second from the left in the picture came out really, really nice. A lot of work went into that cue, and it works very well in both the forearm and buttsleeve.

Kenny, thanks for showing the pictures. it looks like everyone had a great time, and this type of event is good for both cuemakers and collectors.

Thanks for sharing!

You are welcome Will. Yes I saw that Pete Tonkin's Native American cue in person and pictures don't do justice. Peter does super workmanship.

2009 wccs

Once again there are so many people to thank I don't even know where to begin. Bryan Mordt and Chelsey for driving a million hours to be at the show. The McWorters, Kent Davis, Terry, John (Kamui tips), Jay Helfert for driving all the way up from LA to be here today. Thank you to Rick Chudy, Tom & Michi Coker for bringing your cues and an entire table full of blanks, forearms, and parts. It was great getting to show people just how much work goes in to making a cue.

Tommie, Jim Pierce, Mr. Tinsley, Tony, Howard, Doug, Duane, George Michaels, Riley, the Tonkins, Koos cues, and DJ. You guys are awesome!

So.. all I kept hearing all day was.. 'have you tried Kenny Koo's cue?' 'On man, you HAVE to hit with Kenny Koo's cue!' or.. 'I've gotta get on Kenny Koo's wait list!!'

I bet that sweet case is a "CyRex" case......

You make a sweet case your self. Tony had some of your cases there. I love your tubes... Soft and Comfy, kinda makes me want to be a cue in the next life!

Hey Rex,
Rex,
I am glad you got a chance to hit with my cue. Any feed back on the hit and craftmanship?

Kenny

Have you hit a Koo cue yet?

John,

You hit with both of my cues the Ebony 4 points hoppe and purple heart sneaky hoppe. What you think of the those cues hit and workmanship?

Kenny

Kenny,

Both cues hit excellent! They both were flawless! If you did not tell me you made them, I would have assumed they were from a cue maker who has been doing it for 30 years... Great Job, so great you need to check your PM's and let me know what you think?

Wccs 2009

I would like to say that the WCCS 2009 was an unqualified success. Everyone had a great time and all of the cuemakers were well represented. We achieved our goal of bringing the art and skill of cuemaking to the West Coast public and it was especially great that Tom and Michi Coker and Pete Tonkin brought a lot of in-progress works with them to show the different stages of the making of a cue and the incredible amount of work involved in a single cue. My sincere thanks to Kevin and Russ for the great venue and food, Cyrex for all of the time and effort he put into this show, Bryan Mordt (I can’t wait to see Chelsea’s pics), Rick Chudy, Jerry McWorter and Jan (thanks for the Starbucks, I was running low!), Kenny Koo (his custom cues were one of the hits of the show), Kent Davis, Doug Baltrip, Jim Pierce who donated a killer cue in the door prize drawing, Tommie Moser and both Mikes, Kent Davis (don’t gamble with him), Jay Helfert, Jim Trusler (this guy makes a great custom cue), Tony (BENFICA), George Michaels, Riley Pitchford and everyone else who attended, networked and enjoyed themselves. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year. Thank you all for a great event!!
