Hello everyone,

The grand opening of schmidts billiards will be Dec. 8th with a lot of improvements to the former s-bridge. Just arrived this week were two 9 ft tournament blue Diamond tables with pro cut pockets and two more 7ft diamond tables also, bringing this to a total of 8 tables. New paint and carpet,new menu, great hoagies, and a dance floor. John has gotten a liquor license is now serving all your favorite beverages and soft drinks. There is also a internet juke box and a seperate room for video gambling. Come join the fun and we hope to see you there. The phone number for Schmidts Billiards is 304-905-8495. Address is 818 McCullough St. Wheeling, WV.

This is FANTASTIC news! Although I can't make it to the grand opening, I'm wishing John all my sincerest best wishes for success! I know you guys put together a really fine room!

It's open at 1:00 PM on Saurdays & Sundays, 3:00 PM rest of the week.
It closes at "....to close"

My wife & I stopped by last Monday at 11:45 AM but it was too early.
Sorry to say that we won't be able to attend the grand opening this Saturday.

One of then best players of this generation and one of the nicest men to have ever opened a pool room lives only about 45 minutes from me. Soon as I heal up a bit more, I'll be making regular pilgrimages to his place.

I'm both happy and excited for him. JS will do swell in his new venture.
 
Best of luck with the new biz. Hurray for Pro-owned pool halls with pro-quality tables, that's what I say!

Just wanted to say that what you posted is great to hear.

The week before he bought the place, John called & wanted to know if we were available for dinner and to see the former S Bridge Billiards. Him, Dick Clark (D C 6 Pocket...another great & fun guy) myself and my wife all toured the building then had a nice long supper together. The reason I mention this is because we left so impressed with just how serious John is taking all this and how smart he is for being such a young & new business owner! He has really put his heart into making this not only a good business venture for himself, he is truly trying to establish one of the best pool rooms around anywhere! He's taken into consideration things that would amaze people. On top of all of this, he's just about the most down to earth guy you would ever want to talk to. To be that great a player and still be level headed and humble is really something special.

You can't help but like Mr 400 and that helps explain how he's got so many people pulling for him and wishing him all the very best.
