I have a local makers custom cue but it has a wrap on it. I am trying to figure out how to design a new cue that is wrapless and possibly has points (miss my scruggs sneaky pete). More than likely I would go with darker forearm/butt woods and a lighter wrap area wood. Please post some pictures of wrapless cues so I can get an idea of how I should design mine. Thanks!
BTW - If any of you have the 2004 cue calender from www.cuebook.com you can look at July and see a Downey cue on the right that looks like I am interested in.

If nothing else I may just get into another sneaky pete again.

Hello, here is my primary and my back-up cue that I made for myself earlier this year.

The first cue is a Purple Heart Titlist conversion with a Cocobolo butt and an Ivory Butt cap made from a under sized cue ball.

The second cue is a Brunswick Conversion cue from the 1890's with a Curly Rosewood Forearm with a Birdseye Maple butt, that has Zebra Wood Rings.

Purpleheart Titlist conversion by Corsair

This is nicely done with tung oil finish instead of glossy finish ... both with ivory joint, top one with ivory hoppe ring, bottom one with ivory wedge and buttcap
