Here is a j/b that I'm nearing completion. It still has a bit of work left. Looks like a j/b if SW built one...LOL!:D It's going to be pretty sporty after I get some clear on it. The new owner is quite excited. :)

Believe it or not...its a piece of jet black rosewood. It'll look just like ebony after I get the clear sprayed...just not quite as heavy.:)
 
I had a black rosewood like that once after I blowtorched it.
Looks like a stiff taper.
 
Great looking cue and cannot wait to see the update after the cue is finished.

This may be a winner! Has a special look w/o being too expensive,very nice!
