Down to final 16 on the Winner's side. Some damn heavy hitters there!

The Open has often produced some unexpected finishers in the top 3, a couple recent ones: Broxson, Owen...who's it gonna be this year?

Shuff? GQ? O Dominguez? Makkonen (can somebody please give us his CV:o ?), Putnam, or are we gonna see a champ make himself such from the 1-loss side?

I am very excited and can't wait till it is over...coz I can't be there:frown:

Maybe Adam Smith. I don't think I have ever heard of him, but so far he has beaten Mike Dechaine and David Howard, then last night he beat Corey Deuell 11-4.

Where is Adam from anyway?

I'd put him a notch under Putnam, but not always...

Petri Makkonen is a 20 yo player from Finland. Very good player with a tough head and straight stroke. Former junior European Champion.

Wow. (no, not the video link above!)

Did anyone notice the friggin' whoopins that the underdogs took in the round of 16 (winner's side).

 The air is definitely thin up there!@!

The

Break through player this year, by indications so far, would appear to be
Donny Mills, who is leading Edey, 8-3.

My moneys on Nevel, he's playing strong, we'll see if he can get past Cory. He did take out the #1 seed.

There is no doubt that Donnie Mills is the break out player of the tourney. Good for him and he post here. So I'm pulling for him.

Brandon Shuff is from Northen Va. He plays Jam up pool. He is sponsered by a pool room here in Richmond Va. called Diamond Billiards. I am very proud of him. He shot his azz of at the open. He is a very young player. To put in a performance like this..just goes to show that one day he is gona win the event. He is a terror on the Tiger tour and any has done well in the Va. State tourny as well.
