Wow Kam! I've never seen a Keith Andy cue. Very nice.

I like the sharp narrow points. The thin butt plate is something that I've not seen before, and I very much like.

What is the joint material?

Nice cue pal, stunningly bright veneers. I also like that shorted butt cap, looks very original. Raj Hundal has been singing this guys praises, he says his shafts are awesome.

I had the opportunity to shoot with this cue last nite. Here is what I can say about this cue.

Cosmetic-wise, this cue is awesome. Point work was top notch. Finish was flawless. The colours were amazing. The way this cue was put together has attention to detail written all over it.

The cues weight and balance was done very well. I got along with the cue off the bat. The shaft wood was superb. I was running balls in no time. This cue hits very crisp and stiff with the old used shaft that came with it. The hit softened up a bit when the new shaft was used. No vibration on the shaft even with extreme english (left or right).

One unique feature of the cue is the way it's butt cap was done. You gotta see it as it's really something different. Also, this guy makes his own tip and those BlackJack tips are superb. (Kam, I gotta order some.)

This cue is a lively, firm and crisp hitter.

I was with Kam yesterday and had a good 2-4 hours test driving this cue.

Cosmetically the points are flawless and the workmanship looks great it is a fantastic looking cue......thye phenolic joint pops out and looks really unique.

The hit of this cue is great his own made low deflection shafts really do play well, much stiffer than a 314 but closer to a mezz hybrid pro II. I was able to get some fantastic action on the cueball with he shaft.

Overall i think that this cue plays as well as many other high end cuemakers and his attention to detail is perfect. I know that Keith Andy is really big in Japan and has not made a big hit in the US yet! But i feel that his cues play really well and it will only be a matter of time before he becomes a big name outside of Japan

that they are ...

of the two, the low deflection has a much firmer hit .. and although i thought that is the one i would prefer, after several hours, i found myself more at home with the standard one ...

both hit very true and depending on the type of stroke you have, he definitely has a hit to suit you ...

review

the only thing i can add to jhun and roy's reviews is that the one thing i noticed in particular was the fact that of all the people who tried the cue yesterday, not one had any trouble adjusting to it .. now that is pretty rare ...

there is always someone who says " i can't hit with this "

that did not happen ...

everyone ran racks, everyone loved it ...

the "feel" is different - not a little different - it IS different .. no one could quite pin point what it was , but it was evident ... yet after the first 3-5 shots ( not racks ) , every one fell into stroke ....

that says a lot for a cue ...

they are not cheap ... he is not well known internationally YET ... there is no ivory - BUT this is a player ... of that, there is no doubt ...

if you can, get one !

Tip

just got a confirmation from Jun that the tip on the cue is the BlackJack soft tip ...

i normally don't give any preference to a tip - what the cue comes with, i live with .. but this ... made an impression ....

this is a Great Tip .........

I'll second that, I've played with an 8 pointer Keith Andy cue last week, the cue can make extreme spin easily but also hit solid, its hard to find both on one cue ;)

for sale...

the cue is currently for sale.

list price was $3,600

am offering a significant discount .

the cue came with one standard shaft and jun ( the cue maker ) sent me one of his personal low deflection shafts that is just a killer !
