Bob is in process of building the cue. It will have the traditional colored titlist veneers with paper thin black veneers in between the colors to make the veneers "pop". As always it will have the traditional hoppe ring and a black leather wrap.

Here is a picture of a roughed in curly maple forearm he is using. I will continue to post pics of progression throughout the build phase. Should be completed mid September. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do.

Here's the forearm. 05/02/09

You cant beat a DZ cue. I am saving for my next one.

Josh

You are correct sir....playability, build quality, fit and finish, price....they all make for an excellent cue. I trust Bob and am sure he can do anything. People really need to get the word out on this excellent cuemaker!!!

That's interesting. I always wondered how they did the deep points when the bottom of the points touch. It looks like he does two, glues them up, then does the other two after that. Looks great!

Yes, as I was told....he does one point at a time and fits and trims them. Can't wait to see all them installed and forearm roughed in. Thanks for the interest, I'm definitely excited!!!

Can you PM me what he charges for the black paper veneers? I guess I could just shoot him an email, huh.

Josh

very much looking forward to pics of this finished cue.

Chad @ CAMCUES is building me some "fake fulls" like this, and he does the paper veneers too.

Yes you probably should, it was priced accordingly and I don't know how much extra it costs. I got the bottom line.

This is the second time Bob has used my cue for a picture on his www.dzcues.com website. Brazilian Rosewood Hoppe forearm was used in his "stuff in progress" gallery, and now he has taken a pic of my Brazilian Rosewood Titlist Tribute forearm and used it in his "construction of a forearm" gallery. My forearm is in the middle of a couple of other cues he is currently working on. Every time he sends me a pic I get butterflies in my stomach from the excitement. The 4 point with butterfly cue he is working on is beautiful also...like all of his other work. Here is the pic.

Bob just sent me this pic today at my request. Forearm is installed and butt components built to be installed soon. I can't wait until it's done....unortunately not until mid September but hey you can't rush an artist ;)

Pics were taken by Bob. As for the A-joint....I'm not sure how Bob does it and you would have to contact him to find out.
