FYI.....The Canadian 9 Ball Tour is open to all players this year, not just Canadians as in previous years. With $10,000 added to each event...eight in total, it's hard to find a more appealing tour out there. The first three events had 94, 100 and 81 entries and the next three are limited to 64 players with a $5,000 first prize.
The events fill up well in advance and the draw is posted online prior to the event. This allows for people to place bets through the Stan James website, who post odds on each player to finish in the top four. There are limited spots available for the next event on Feb.1-3, 2008 at Luc Salvas' room in Valleyfield, Quebec, which is just west of Montreal. Entry fee is $125 Canadian.
This is the third year of the tour which is sponsored by Cineplex Entertainment and Chapters Indigo Books and is run by Jim Wych, who is known worldwide as a former professional snooker player and a commentator and analyst for most of the major billiard events around the world.
The format is race to nine, double elimination, winner racks and breaks and the nine does not count on the break.

I welcome any feedback from players that have participated in any of the events or any players interested in voicing their opinions on the status of the tour.
