Results but no Auction payouts??? - 11-03-2009, 06:24 PM

Brickyard Billiards 9-Ball Bar Table event
October 31 - November 1, 2009
Brickyard Billiards
Indianapolis, In

Place Playername Prize Money
1st place Tom D'Alfonso $512.00
2nd place Dee Adkins $512.00
3rd place Brian Groce $500.00
4th place Rick Schroeder $350.00
5th place Jason Klatt $300.00
5th place Brian Artrip $300.00
7th place John Betinoui $200.00
7th place Steve Oaks $200.00
9th place Bob Dickerson $150.00
9th place Jeff Beckley $150.00
9th place Dan Walton $150.00
9th place Chris Bartram $150.00

Bet the AUCTION payouts blew these tourney payouts away. I probably would have bought Klatt and Gross and ended up paying for my trip, before beer money. If anyone has the auction payout's sure would like to know if it is worth the drive next year.

Just rough numbers off top of my head. calcutta paid $2500 for 1st, 1200 for 2nd, not sure about 3rd and 4th paid $640. First calcutta had $7100 or so in it and second calcutta had $1900 in it.

These are the numbers for the 1st calcutta, before the house take. They may not be exact but are very close.

1st 36% - $2833
2nd 20% - $1574
3rd 15% - $1180
4th 9% - $708
5-6 6% - $472
7-8 4% - $314

Both tournaments were very close money wise. The first one paid a little more but had 9 more players. The second calcutta had more in it last time but it was also ran when there were 16 players left, instead of 12.

Not sure where you got that tourney payout list, but it ain't right. 1st place in the tourney paid $1300 + $2500 for the calcutta {after the cut} I believe they took the standard 10% from 1st calcutta, which had a total around $7880 and $7100 total cal. paid back. But the house added $1500 even tho it wasn't a full field. $75 entry, and NO GREEN FEE'S......

IF 1ST WAS $1300, 2ND WOULD BE AROUND $900 DEE AND TOM WOULD HAVE SPLIT AROUND $2200 before the calcutta money. Still a pretty good payout for a weekend tourney.

GUESS YOU SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THE LIST, And counted before you walked away. That's what they sayat the bank.

It really was $125 for 9 thru 12. I remember looking at the list and where I would be if I beat Beckley on the winners side. Mac don't mess up counting money. I used to tease him when I played league on his team, about having his wife hold his money during a match, and charging her interest when she gave it back.
