I do want to mention something about the heroic people at Ft. Hood who did an incredible job, especially the female Sgt. who exchanged gunfire with this terrorist / so-called doctor, and took a bullet doing it, as well as the medics that poured out of a ceremony to put their lives on the line to help.

The Obama speech was pathetic.
If this is what we have to look forward to it's only the beginning of the vulnerability we will face under Barak.

Bush is totally irrelevant in this thread...

The POTUS did a great job talking about the tradegy...once he finally got around to it. Why in the world would you start off with a shout out or thank you's... I hope this was bad judgement and he's really not that stupid...but I have no faith in any of his abilities other than campaigning...

There are plenty of accepted definitions of Terrorism. One accepted definition is simply and act of unlawful Violence and War. While Politics and Religeon play a major role in many terrorist acts. They certainly don't have to in order for an act of terrorism to take place.

Since there is no internationally agreed upon single definition of Terrorism, the word is applied pretty broadly at times and argued rigorously because of that in a case like this.

I would argue that any act that terrorizes a community (as this one certainly did) could be considered and act of terrorism. Terrorism isn't just the purpose of an action (Political or Religeous), it's the result of the action. Who gives a crap why he did it? People are Dead and wounded because of him and you can bet your sweet A$$ they were all terrified as the events unfolded. A person can just "Snap" and still be a terrorist and in this case a Mass Murderer as well.

Example: Jack the Ripper was a Murderer and by many definitions a terrorist. He Terrorized Whitechapel England from 1888 to 1891 with his killing spree. Even though he was primarily killing prostitutes, the entire community lived in fear because of it. Anytime you cause other people to live in fear for any length of time (4 minutes, 4 hours or 4 years), you are by definition a Terrorist.

The video speaks for itself. We can choose to get all hung up on the definition of Terrorism here, or we can face the plain simple fact...

At a time when Obama's first thoughts and words should have been focused on Fort Hood's community and the events that had unfolded there...he was busy giving shout outs to his peeps first!

Just another miserable mistake from a well spoken, unqualified Rock Star in a suit.

Did you know that the woman has been a hunter since being a child and bagged her first buck at age 11? They said she was trained on to shoot moving targets in the military. However any avid hunter learns to do that in the field. Shes also a surfer.

She did an outstanding job. Courage under fire. Whats more she did not hesitate in taking down an individual she had probably had contact with for some time.

I replied to this in another thread but i think it belongs here. The conference he refered to was not an impromptu press conference to discuss shootings. It was a scheduled conference on native american relations. Some like "spin" things so all you see is what they want you to...it happens alot these days as the straight truth seems to be a rare thing. just once i would like to see someone from the right or the left argue about the simple facts and leave all the bullshit slight of hand to the clowns that are there to entertain not inform.

I haven't heard how she is doing, but I hope she gets a lot of appreciation for what she did.

This coward must have picked a low security area.
The places I've been-Buckley ANG, Shriver AFB, NORAD mountain, Kirkland AFB / Sandia Labs, Los Alamos National Labs, etc etc there's security on top of security.
Guys with M-16's, big warning signs.
In some facilities the CIA has Air Force security, who hires Northrop Grumman, who hires private security, who hires free-zone monitors, it's not even fun anymore.
Before 911 I used to run around NORAD mountain by myself.
I wonder our awareness level is dwindling under Barak.

From my experience, this will take it up about 5-notches.
