Team USA needs a KILLER

Folks:

We need to get a KILLER on Team USA. Someone who has a dominating presence; who smells his opponent's blood even when he might be sitting in the chair at the moment; who when at the table adopts a take-no-prisoners runout-from-anywhere methodology; whose opponent DOESN'T WANT TO FACE HIM because of his howitzer shot-making ability; who roots his teammates on with the same enthusiasm as when he's at the table himself; and when all's said and done, is a genuine great and likable guy.

That killer is Dennis Hatch. His U.S. colleagues respect him. All the members of Team Europe have already publicly stated they respect (and in many cases, fear) him. We need him. Let's make sure he gets on Team USA!

Go, Dennis, go!

P.S.: and yes, although I personally swing the Hatch-et in my vote, Rodney's a close second choice and would be a fine journeyman on Team USA. Stevie M. and Charlie B. would be WONDERFUL as well, offering new blood and a monkey-wrench-thrown-in-the-works for Team Europe.

I think we won't go wrong with either Dennis or Rodney.. Rodney has MC experience and a great flow to his game and Dennis is a flipping beast..

As usual, Sean nails it.

Dennis has possibly the most fearsome presence at the table of anyone, except Johnny Archer.

If I drew Charlie Williams in a tourney, I would expect to lose, but I would probably get a couple of games, as he makes careless mistakes fairly often for a top caliber player.

If I drew Dennis, I would wonder how many racks he was going to run before I got a chance to get up and kick at something...

Believe me, Team Europe is PRAYING that CW gets picked.
 
Get Dennis Hatch in the box please!! It's what we need. I am a fan of assassins, SVB and Hatch just bury boys. Keep voting, I know I am ;)
 
I'm torn still

I'm holding my vote until last minute because I want it to be more likely to make a difference. I don't want to vote for someone that is sitting on 2% of the vote, regardless of whether I believe they are the best fit, or my most popular choice.

I'm going to watch more Hatch videos to get better acquainted with him, as I've seen him less than any other in the top 4. Any great videos that people recommend would be appreciated.
 
Trooper has a very valid point for sure... It's total crap that everyone can vote in our American 5th player but we had no say in any of their players.. Oh well, politics of pool never cease to surprise me.
 
PEOPLE, Go vote again for HATCH. The poll is already rigged because they let non US'ers vote. Go keep voting for Hatch. Not only is he the best player in the list, but he will whip Darryl Peach a$$ if he gets lippy with Team USA. haha If US can get Hatch on the team, this may be one of the best MC teams US has ever had.

Click the "Videos" link at the top of this page, and click "Hatch". There are a couple of matches from the now defunct propoolvideo.com that really show what he's capable of.

Although 10-ball (vs. the Mosconi Cup 9-ball format), you get a good feel for Dennis' smooth stroke, excellent cue ball, and howitzer shot-making ability in his Seminole Tour match with Donny Mills. Dennis opens with a 5-pack in a race to 9, before hanging a 1-ball in rack 6:

I know exactly who I would bet on in that match. It would be a great one though. I seen something that put someone on my do not ever in life as long as I live bet against them list.
