Where to buy strong shaft-dowels?

Hi Azers!
Does anybody have a suggestion where i can buy real dense and hard shaftwood? I´m looking for
a) Hard-Maple dowels that a straight grown and realy dense with many grind-rings
b) Good Lakewood Shaft-Dowels

There`s no need to be snowwhite or free of sugarspots, important for me is, that they are straight grown und dense.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I think the Fisher brothers might have some and you could always call joe at cue componets.
 
There are plenty of shaft wood suppliers to be found by searching the "Ask The Cue Maker" section and I believe that you can find one of the lake salvage shaft companies by searching for lake wood shafts in this section.

I don't have 'lake' wood, but it is maple, and it is dang good..... I have some of the darker colored shaft wood that is sweeeet. PM if interested..... I can spare a few.....
