No, that's not it, but I'll break it down for you in terms that you may understand.

I provided a link to the actual file - the .pdf file. One click, the reader has it before their eyes - no ads - no bells - no whistles - no bullshitt - just Kicking Academy by Dead Aim.

You chimed in immediately and desperately diverted people back to a page on your website where you have a link to a copy of that file along with advertisements for your products. Big difference.

I have never charged a dime for Kicking Academy. It is a free download available from my website. The .pdf was compiled by Craig Sullivan from posts made by Dead Aim back in 2004. For years, if anybody wanted a copy, they got it without me trying to peddle one of my books along with it. The silly part is that you only have the Kicking Academy file on your website because I sent it you - I still have the e-mail.

Everything comes down to what you do, how you do it, and why you do it. I pass along information because I care about pool players, not because I can make a buck off of them. Of course I make money doing what I do, but all of that is secondary to my main purpose, which is to teach.

I respect your work immensely, I've personally told you that - its great stuff - just don't screw up that respect by being an ass. I wouldn't tell you that if I didn't care.

Sorry David. I didn't mean to offend you or anybody else. I am sorry you feel that way about my resource page. My website (billiards.colostate.edu) does have links to my commercial stuff, and I also have links to stuff available from others (e.g., you are on my instructors page, because I know you are a good instructor, and because I also respect the work you have done), but my website also provides lots of educational resources that I have worked extremely hard on for many, many years, just as a service to the billiards world.

I frequently get requests from people wanting to advertise on my site, and I have always turned them down, because I don't want the site to become "commercial" (I have a separate commercial site, and I don't offer advertising on that either). Honestly, it hurts a little when you imply that I just do it for the money. If you weren't implying that, I apologize for suggesting it.

PS: I honestly don't remember where I got that PDF file originally. I thought I got it from the original posting on AZB, but I could be wrong.
