Hello,

I recently picked up these cues which seem to be Italian, but I don't know hardly anything about them. If anyone has any info about these, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.

Pics below. thanks chin0.

Ok I'll give it a go:smile:. There were several Italian companies that made cues that were almost identical. I believe that they were made in Torino until the late 60's and early 70's I think the company also made tables check out the cool corner ash tray on this one.

I think that many of these cues were made in the 50's to 60's so they are getting old. I don't believe they have much value to them for I have found them for around $ 7.00 in antique stores. This company had a different approach to the grip area, rather then using Irish linen or leather they decided to press in dents. These dents included diamonds, slashes, stippling and checkering. All of these cues I have bought have the same green red green veneers and they look like they were put together well. They did not use maple for their shafts but it was ash I think. Mine all have a heavy finish that went all the way to the tip and have stayed rather straight over the last 60 years. Well thats all I know in fact I don't even know that much;) I hope it helps.

Hi Craig,

Would you be willing/able to post pics of yours. I would be curious to see them, and it would be cool if yours had complete stickers because neither of mine do.

Thanks.

I got one of these with no sticker but, says Italy on it. I asked a Famous Cue Maker if it was worth anything & he said no.

"Anything" is relative. It is surely worth something. But the cuemaker probably meant it was not worth very much. I have no idea of the value of these cues, but I am pretty sure it would not be more than two figures, but I have no idea which two figures.

type in www.google.it into your address bar. This is the google search engine in Italy. You will find many links to Biliardi Rutigliani, it appears to be a company like brunswick. Italy's ebay has their tables for 5K Euro's. Of course, most of the sites are in Italian, so you need a translator. Also, the wikipedia from Italy gives you their telephone number, so you could call and hope that someone there speaks english.
