iTrader can sometimes be underrepresented

I'm not here to complain or pass judgment, but in many cases iTrader does not show how great a seller or buyer is. Case in point, I only have three iTrader replies which are positive, but on eBay I use caymanstyle as my handle and have 633 transactions as a seller and buyer with a 100% rating. Granted, I've only had eight transactions here on AZ, but this isn't about me, this is about Steve Klapp.

I had some work done by Steve Klapp who goes by nucues on AZ. He worked on my Schon SL13, which I bought in 1993. He refinished the butt and the top 6" of three shafts, replaced a damaged joint insert on the shaft (with "schon" on the shaft; not collar), and reduced the weight of the butt to my desired weight, which could not be done by changing the weight bolt. In short, Steve Klapp has done excellent work and this post is just an example of how "iTrader can sometimes be underrepresented."

Steve, thanks again for the great work at a great price.

If you search for "cue refinishing special" you will see the great reviews of his work with only four iTrader feedbacks or select : http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=204790&highlight=nucues

Attached are the "below and after" photo's.

Just something I noticed, your before pictures are very close up and address very specific nicks and dents, the after pics are from further away and don't IMHO show the repair of the problem.

I'm not surprised you are happy with Steve's work. He takes great pride in his finishing process & the results speak for themselves. The wood looks "deeper" & the silver rings really pop now.

what do you mean his pics showed bubbling finish around the rings and such and the new finish shiny in every pic? There's nothing to show b/c theres no damage to hide? The old finish was removed...........

Just what I was thinking ... Good reps sent !!!

I concur. However, an older camera was used for the before photos, since I wanted to do this a year ago but the other cue maker wanted to charge about $50 more than Steve did, so I put this job on a back burner. In short, the cue and shaft tops are totally refinished, not a bubble, mark, or blemish. The work speaks for itself.

I have a mcdermott cue that had a linen wrap. the finish has been sanded off completely, down to the point where it no longer has the groove for the wrap. can a leather wrap be put on it, and the clear coat put on for the $125 deal?

I would PM nucues directly to obtain your answer.
Thanks, Mark
