Hey Azer's,
Here is an ULTRA RARE Kerry Zylr set of cues.
YES, a Hoppe style player and a jump cue set..

As most of you know Kerry didn't make blanks, so most of his cues don't have points. Kerry did some Titlist conversions and sneak petes.

These are 2 beautiful Vern Horn blanks that Kerry made a matching 4 point 4 veneer cue, and a matching 4 point 4 veneer jump cue.

The cue is 58" long, weighes 19.3 oz.
Has 2 13mm shafts. Straight and sound.
The rings are buckhorn, and they have alot of grain..

Kerry made wonderful playing cues, and not many have been offered for sale since his untimely passing.
Here's you chance..
$2000 for the pair..
Best,
Ken Kerner

Hi Ken,
Kerry's real last name was Zeiler and he carried the brand Zylr.
Kerry did not make POINTED blanks, but all of his no-points cues were made of his blanks.
Those are treasures.
Even though they are pointed blanks, they still have no metal on them except the joint pin.
Kerry used wood threads to join the pointed forearm to the handle.
I bet it hits great.

Nice offering ken.
I still have my Zylr that Kerry built for me. They play great. Someone will be getting an amazing set.

Hey Joey,
I think everyone knows Kerry built his own cue forearm blanks, just didn't make pointed blanks, I didn't word that properly. I stand corrected.
I didn't have my brain working today, Yes, the brand name is Zylr.
Unfortunitely I can't change the original post headline error.
Thanks for adding some of his cue techniques.
Best,
Ken

Hey Azer's,
Thanks for the trade offers, but I'm not asking alot of money for this rare set of cues. This will be a cash deal. It's just difficult at my offered price to find something I'd rather have.
Someone is going to get a nice piece of history.
Best,
Ken

Ken...what is the ferrule material?

thanks...you have my ears perked

Ryan

I like how he made one shorter than the other.

I have a pair and sometimes I grab the wrong one. Sometimes I don't notice until I am shooting.

Won't have that problem with this friggin lovely pair!:o

Hi Ryan,
Good Question... I know Kerry didn't use ivory.. It doesn't have a woven grain, so I don't believe it is a linen base. Kerry liked to bleech Buchhorn and use Stag. This is my best guess..
I'm welcome for people to chim in on this one..
Ryan.. Let me know if you want to pull the trigger..
Best,
Ken

Kerry used buckhorn, melamine and Ivor-X ( he invented it ) .
Ivor-X would be a little more opaque than melamine ( you can tell from the bottom if it's Ivor-X b/c you can almost see thru them ).
He started using Ivor-X almost exclusively for his cues around 2002 and up.
Ivor-X has no weave at all. The old melamine had a very slight weaving.

Joey,
Thanks for the input..
I looked at it again, and would have to say the Ivor-x would be the material.

If you grab the wrong one and don't notice it before your shooting, it's time for a doctors appt :)
Thanks for the nice words..
Still available...
