Coin-op Pool Table Pocket Protectors?

This is an odd question maybe but, is there a product out there for Coin-op and ball return tables to protect them from foreign objects being dropping into the gulleys and subway ball return?

I have a few pool table accessories that when used, could fall into the pockets.

Basically, some kind of insert that almost converts a ball return into drop in style pockets.

Not sure, but if there is, please let me know where find them.

But if that's the basic idea then maybe cheap white hand towels would work better then paper towels and news paper. No waste.

How about standard (and common) squat paper soup bowls?

I'm thinking you'd use the paper kind, and not the plastic kind, because of the noise that the plastic kind is likely to generate. (You know how loud the plastic containers are when you drum your fingers on the bottom, right? [And indeed, there are some street musicians here in NYC that compile a complete drum kit made up of spackle/plaster, and all sorts of other plastic and aluminum food containers.] Imagine a pool ball hitting the bottom!)

Plus, the paper kind won't be "bouncy" like a trampoline when the pool ball rebounds off the bottom.

Hope this is helpful!

-Sean <-- who shyly admits he did this before in bygone years, and in hindsight, realized how much coin-drop revenue he ripped off from the establishment.

And there is always the obvious: don't use things that could fall into the pockets over/ around the pockets.

And don't be taking your watch off or going thru your wallet over the toilet either, btw!
