Out of all the Whittens I have ever seen I love this one the most. Everything really flows on this case in my eyes even more so than Whitten cases flow already.

The color, contrasting stitching, blue interior, texture of the leather, all perfect. Joe and Co. are really knocking them out of the park these days.

Not taking anything away from the traditionalists and sheridan/flower style carving, but Cyrex and Phil Eastwood are doing some very unique designs and carving. Either one of them get my vote.

this is a great idea in addition to the cues category. This will be fun every year and in 10 years it will cool to look back and see how things progress over time. Its amazing whats happened in just the past 5 years.

All awesome work guys!!!!!

Art Cantando 1st Equestrian

Art only made 3 tube style cue cases in his life. This one is the only case outside his family collection, sold to me this year by its original owner. It is the most heavily tooled case Art made.

Though he would be the first to recognize the work of a master like Jack Justice or Rusty Melton, I prefer this Cantando and its old school hand stitching and tooling, completely done by Art. Enjoy

my humble submission...

i know this pales in comparison to most of the huge cases posted here, but i just wanna take this opportunity to show 2 cases that AZ's very own controversial case maker Mr. John Barton ;) has made for me.

First the 4x8 Butterfly Case, common design nothing very different from the other butterfly cases he has made over the years but this time round the vinyl came from yours truly and it's a beautiful vinyl...nice colour and nice tone..extremely well put together.

Second, the Chas Case - Envelope Style 2x4...i had to pester John to make it and he eventually caved after he found out that someone more annoying than him actually exists (i sorry buddy i heard humour and insults might help us win a prize here or something...)
The envelope design is nothing to shout about, it's the construction, engineering and clever design that i really appreciate. It's sleek and compact yet it can easily accomodate 2x4. Much like the Pacifier cue from Southwest, does the job well without being flashy and it'll shut the buyers up...for a while...i think that was john's intention for me too...

My Clover Patch Case

This is my new King Case from Allan Kinghorn. I designed it and I'm sure you can see it's pretty much made just for me. I'm so happy that Al put his super touch on my design, making it even better! King cases are the schiznit!!!! It's a 4x8. The case matches my tattoos!

Enjoy

R,

Greg

In honor of my wife, the love of my life, and the rock that keeps me going, I am submitting the case that I feel defines why she is such a big part of what we do.

And it defines the type of creativity in construction combined with protection and practicality that I think embodies what we are about.

The Mason case is light and protective. Karen put her creative spin on this one with the simple cardigan design. She has done quite a bit more with creative stamping and coloring this year but I like this one as the genesis of her involvement on the design side.

It's too bad that no one has entered more of Rex's cases and more of Marc's cases. So many great cases have been made by them and others this year that there should be a much larger lineup to choose from.

As I have said many times this is a great time to be a case buyer with all the choice out there.

Thanks Jamie for starting the thread!

Phil Eastwood-The Knight of Spheres

With some hesitation and at the behest of Mr. Will Prout, one of our most valued customers, as are all our customers who took a chance and ventured 'outside the box' with us on this journey. A side note, that I think you all may or may not be interested in, I approached Phil almost 20 years ago about making original one of a kind cases of this caliber. The first piece, The Cheif, Phil still has and ironically is still not finished. The body of work he has produced in less then 6 months since our first formal Ebay offering in July of this year as Quiverz Sport Cases, is nothing short of phenominal. Phil crafts each piece by himself without using stamps, or fabricators or even a template. Every tool mark, every rivet, every lace, every part of the process from conception to the finished product was done by his own hands. All while creating and selling Art in so many other mediums, its mind boggling. As his brother I couldnt be more proud and in this particular medium, I believe he has revolutionized the way players, collectors and case makers think about form and function. I'll shut up now and enjoy Will's case.
Here is our nomination, another Phil Eastwood Original, The Knight of Sphere's.

Sincere thanks to Phil and Carl Eastwood for posting these pictures of the Knight-of-the-Spheres case at my request.
They didn`t wish to appear strident by posting the pictures, but I insisted because this case is so utterly amazing on a multitude of fronts:

The knight`s "helmet" lid of the case can only be fully appreciated if you are holding the case.

The chainmaille armor as worn by knights of old that adorns the entire rear of the case
(btw, there is an entire international fraternity of chainmaille artisans that develop all kinds of wonderful art items).

The incredibly tooled frontal piece with the knight on his war horse ready to engage in battle.

The wonderfully tooled dragon scales that cover most of the area of the sides and front of the case.

With the unbelievable tooled strap for the case, I would have probably been happy if the strap was the only thing that came in the mail to me!

The interior works perfectly for a 1x2 high end Medieval Warrior cue that slides perfectly into the case interior with fully lined tubes and tooled leather.

Three dimensional pool balls (spheres) scattered across the canvas.

In my view, one of the most impressive cases to have ever been made. Yes, I am a happy camper.

WINNER!!!!!

I am much more of a traditionalist when it comes to cases, but this case absolutely blew me away! The concept, amount of work, and execution are amazing. This case is an absolute work of art. The tooling itself is incredible. I would really love to see this one in person.

This case definitely gets my vote.

P.S. As you all can plainly see, I am not tech-savvy enough to even arrange the fonts correctly. "WINNER" was supposed to be the bigger text. My idiocy is never really surprising to me.
