But I don't see many technical discussions that can truly help players.

Just off the top of my head.....

I've never seen a discussion on 3 in the corner short rail first banks.

Some people might not know the ratio. But that is not the only consideration. Just knowing the ratio does not do much. We need to discuss adjustments for cutting or crossing, kiss avoidance, 2nd rail and 3rd rail paths.

SO MANY THINGS TO DISCUSS ON JUST ONE BANK SHOT. AND THERE ARE MANY SIMILAR SHOTS THAT DESERVE DISCUSSION.

But these things are never discussed. By now we could have had wonderful information on all these shots, but we have nothing.

We do not discuss applying kicking systems to regular shots in order to more accurately predict cueball path.

We do nothing here. NOTHING. NOTHING. NOTHING. NOTHING.

THERE IS NOTHING TO MAKE US BETTER. WE ARE NOT LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER.

We spend time but learn nothing. All of the most worthwhile topics ARE AVOIDED. WE AVOID THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

We do not post shot diagrams and discuss which shot will give us the highest chance to win the game. WE DO NOT DO THIS. WE DO NOT STUDY TABLE DIAGRAMS. WE DO NOT REPLICATE THESE SITUATIONS ON OUR OWN TABLE AND REPORT THE RESULTS.

I don't get your point. Discuss whatever you want. Beats complaining about what isn't here...?

And as to trolls and 'giving up': this is the internet, that's what happens. Toughen up and _ignore_ the posts/threads which bother you. Join the pointless arguments, and the agitators win. This place is Disneyland compared to some forums.

Nice rant. If you want knowledge you have to ask for it, sometimes even pay for it. Post shot diagrams and I'm sure you will get several opinions from the players that frequent this board. Wining about it will just bring out the trolls.

I am curious about your use of the word "We". You have been here all of a week and I have not seen one contribution beyond complaining about this forum that has been around for a long time. There is more pertinent pool, billiard and even snooker information on here from tournament information, items for sale, cuemaker contributions and information you can not find anywhere else, to the most involved technical information from people like Dr. Dave then you will find anywhere else on the net. What is it exactly using the search feature you can't find? I am beginning to think troll here.
