I'll rephrase my question.
What makes person A's god better than person B's god?

I must have missed that memo.
But following the logic defined earlier, god being supernatural, ie not of this universe, there must be belief in extra terrestrials as well right?
We can the original step further then. Did god create this world of ours on purpose and with us in mind?? Or even from christian perspective, are we created in his image?

A totally irrelevant point unless one assumes that there is a god.
Do you assume there is now?

ET would be of this universe, merely from another planet.
As for myself, I have no doubt that somewhere other intelligent beings exist.
As to whether the universe was made solely for Oitlings? I see no reason to believe that myself.
Were we created in the image of the Creator? At least spiritually I believe we were.
The intelligence of humanity is well beyond that of any other animal with no other logical explanation of why that is.

Watched a movie I had down loaded last night because my ISP was down for maintenance.
UFO. Ancient Aliens, The Mission.
Its out there to watch, Google it.
Might give people a different perspective on how we came to exist.
But then, you'd have to believe that there is a possibility of other life forms
other than us.

I believe certain aspects of the grneral Christian faith, and not others ... but that point, again, is irrelevant to the topic at hand.
If you are trying to peg me as one who claims to have it all figured out you will be severely disappointed.

No that's not what I'm doing.
What I'm trying to get at is if you are a christian, then you must believe that your god is the one and only god.
Now maybe you don't personally believe that, but I know that most christians do. In the same way that most muslims believe their god is the one and only god. Meaning that the believer of one god denies the existence of any other religion's god. Just like an atheist would deny the existence of ANY god.
So my question again, is what makes any believer think their god is more true or real than someone else's god. The only "evidence" that I can think of is pure faith.
I hope you can agree with that.

There is only one God with many names.
Other religions have a name for their God. We just call ours God.
Its like calling every dog, Dog.

I changed my mind... after seeing Detroit lose to Houston from a Houston TD that should not have been allowed...but was on a technicality. Used to say " There must be a God" . I'm sure that is what Houston fans are saying right now after winning a game in OT when there should have never been an OT...........Hollow victory or Holy vixctory.....
I blame my sunflower-seed-filled clunky wireless keyboard for my grammatical errors, misspellings, and generally dislexicon typos found on the screens before all the world to see. At least I share one thing with the Anti-Second Amendment rights people who blame guns for the tragedies caused by their operators. I blame inanimate objects.

If you liked that then check these sites out. Arthur Faram has done some extensive work with ancient geoglyphs and it's very eye opening. I believe that the knowledge that was encoded into most ancient pyramids and stone hinge show that previous civilizations had knowledge that we just acquired.
Here is links to some of his work. I recommend his book "Ancient Signposts"
http://www.thekensingtonrunestone.com/

Those two above are amazing. The next one is startling because the ruins are so deep in the water, it had to be built during the ice age. So, if the monkey boys teaching evolution had problems with hunter gatherers going from eating grubs and tree bark to building the great pyramids in a few years, they have to strongly deny this set of ruins exist. By the way, how did hunter gatherers know about the precession of the equinox? We didn't evolve we devolved.

That's not all, the discovery of Gobekli Tepe has them all scratching their heads. What's not being said by most of the site is that the hill that this site sets on is artificial. The builders built a ring, buried it and did it over again. When it all comes out in the wash, I predict this was a site to measure earths precession against the stars. If they knew the earth wobbled, knowledge that was only acquired by the Greeks, then how advanced were they? By the way, the Greeks got it wrong by 25 years. The builders of the pyramids had the precession correct at 72 years.
By the way, I believe in God but do not belong to an organized religion. Religion tends to be a problem not spirituality.

You are woefully uninformed is my first comment.
Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in the one and the same god.
If you are asking if I believe in a single god then the answer is yes.
God may be called numerous names, but there is but one god IMHO.

Unless you are from Asia in which case all bets are off. Why are their beliefs not valid?

I see. If I may, I will ask a few more uniformed questions.
If they all believe in the same god. Why do they have different beliefs? Why aren't all of their religious texts the same?
What about religions like buddhism and scientology? Do they also have the same god?
